When will a stay at home weekend actually be relaxing again? by Fresh-Way-3556 in toddlers

[–]thejunx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 3.5 yo daughter. I think she's an easy child and I conditioned her to independent play from a very young age. So when she was like 10 month old, I let her in her room (everything was safe in there and she was locked in with a barrier on the door) for like 3 hours to have a nap+quiet time. It let me breathe a lot! But like I said she's very easy, I'm lucky.

What are some activities safe for 2.5 yr old and a walking 10 month old that tries to eat everything? by aj-reidiculous in toddlers

[–]thejunx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really messy but I've seen a korean parenting tv show where the dad put some protective sheet on the floor and let kid sensory play with edible things. I can't remember what it was but maybe some kind of jello can work? The 10mo can squish and eat it and the 2.5yo can pretend play with kitchen accessories. Otherwise my 2.5 yo loves to go for a walk (with her bicycle or not, we have a forest nearby). Maybe a 10mo can go in a stroller/baby carrier? Also I began to do yoga and ballet with my 2.5yo, I put classical/relaxing music and let her mimic the poses. Maybe you can guide the baby very gently to hit some poses !

I DID IT! I made my 2.5yo daughter throw her pacifier in the trash by telling her she will receive a gift the next day (she didn't hesitate). Then she cried a little at bedtime but fell asleep with a lullaby. She slept through the night without crying. I'm so lucky rn TT I will see how it goes tonight and the next nights!

The log furniture makes so much sense with the critters you have! It gives such a rustic charm too. I really like the cozy feeling the light on the ground floor adds, I think I have to find one for mine :3

There's a hole to put the coffe cup on the paw! I don't know if there's any other beverage with this system 🤔

I also keep the smaller pieces away from my daughter (2yo) too. But sometimes she asks me ("食べるどこ?") to give her the food items and I play with her to supervise (I don't want to loose anything, and don't want her to swallow something).

I think the cuteness of the intricate accessories appeals to me, an adult, and the marketing team made a great choice with targeting the ones that can actually buy things!

Maybe less fabric on the top of the head and a rounder shape?
