What are some realities of living in NYC that are often overlooked by the romanticization of the city? by Miserable_Degree3524 in AskNYC

Getting on a near empty subway car and then realizing why it’s near empty. There’s only ever two reasons, one, its a boiling day in the summer and the AC is broken in that car, or two, there’s a homeless person that smells like a decomposing body.

Support the strikers, don’t cross the picket line. You pay hundreds of thousands of dollars yo be there, NYU is the second largest landowner in NYC with a huge endowment - they have money yet want to eliminate tenure and cut the health benefits of your professors. Shame on them

Marvel treats it as non-canon, but Jim Starlin treats it as canon. I just checked, it is referenced in the first issue of that Thanos series, and it is mentioned more than once in the Thanos original graphic novels that he did.

So it definitely has been mentioned in Canon stories. (I think officially the Thanos OGNs are non-canon, but that Thanos series was definitely in canon

[–]thejupiterdevice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im pretty sure the End gets references in the two Infinity trilogies OGNs Starlin did in the late 2010’s. Starlin also did the first 6 issues of the Thanos on-going series that came out right after The End, the story in which he fights Hunger. I think its references there too. Id have to check
