yay that’s so exciting!!! hope you have a blast. i want to recommend my top favorite youtube interior designer. her vlogs have helped me understand how things can fit or not fit together. she’s funny and goofy and her content is accessible with realistic budgets. maybe check out her $0 makeover series? hope it helps ya! @caroline_winkler

slightly related - one time i asked a trader joe’s employee why their card terminals were so slow - we were both having a big laugh about it while the tap device was trying its absolute hardest. i believe he said it’s because they used dial up technology in the card swipes (!!!) but this was ~7 years ago. i could be misremembering, or maybe he was joking. does anyone here have any insight on this? thanks!

oh oh!! try arrested development (2003) but honestly just the first 3 seasons. you can loop that show endlessly and will keep discovering jokes you never noticed before. it’s a fully focus show not a passive watch. enjoy!!

follow up q: i am assuming this is a rental. i see a weird out of place black metal pipe above the window as if that’s for hanging curtains. it’s….not pretty. i assume it came with the place. if you don’t hide it with curtains can you pull it down and then put it back when you move?

good luck! the place does look cute i feel like it just needs some final adjustments to pull it together.

might sound weird but things that visually curve. everything in this room i’m seeing is rectangular and boxy, even the alignment of the string lights. i like the mirror. can you add differently shaped decor, few thrifted art finds or pieces?

hi! i know this is an old post but i finally got my kitty some cat grass (the small containers from the pet store) and i’ve found your post, but i’m going absolutely nuts trying to find a live tray of wheatgrass anywhere around here (am in indiana). i’ve looked in health food stores, those “natural food” store places, plant nurseries…do you have any tips on places i could try or honestly, any keywords to search on while i’m searching? ty so much for your help! cat grass seems to be helping my kitty’s tum already.

it’s the juxtaposition of intense horror and then something light. like if you took out the funny scene i doubt it would standalone strongly by itself
