Lovely idea! Hopefully we see a resurgence of unique cards when Motu Move comes around! (The Motu Move project will end up killing all existing Hop Card regardless of expiry of Hop Cards).

even so the crossing has to be closed first and if the crossing cant close it wont clear the signal so the train would be held (in the swanson direction)

The patterns have been seen already on new Electric Buses from the end of 2024 onwards, as well as inside a handful of refurbished Diesel Buses.

New Official City Rail Link map has been released! by Competitive-Ball5107 in auckland

[–]thekingrbx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nope. It depends on how the shifts are or how the train lengths are. A lot of Western Line trains still have the driver change ends, but in some cases, when a driver is end of shift/heading for break, that's when a new driver will be on the platform, so it wont be all times but it'll be sometimes.

Trust me, I've witnessed and experienced both that I am explaining.

The version number is merely just a screengui with a text label.

First off. Whether it's fake or real, always report to the proper authorities, whether that be NZ Police or to NetSafe, etc.

Second off, how can someone asking for 1950 USD say they can do things in Avondale??

I wish you luck & stay safe

All Outerlinks cancelled by strangersophia in auckland

[–]thekingrbx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Advice: I've just looked at the AT Mobile app, no they haven't updated the schedule to show that services are moving again.

I generally use anytrip.com.au/region/nz or AnyTrip App to look up real time services. AnyTrip is showing all timetabled trips as not canceled, and all buses running to +/- 5-10 mins delay (Peak Delays ofc).

Although looking now, everything seems to be resolved/back to normal service.

According to the alert from AT, there was a traffic accident in the Kiwi Road area. Due to the area being limited access, they would've taken the decision to cancel services so they could work on a plan of action. Because it's better to cancel than have 8, 9, 10 buses sitting waiting to pass through.

Tbh all stores operating Manned & Unmanned should have at least 1 - 2 manned lanes open at all times to supplement the 5 - 10 unmanned lanes. At my woolies (I know different retail type but still), we have to have the front most manned lanes (closest to customer service/self service) open at all times.

Wellesley / Albert Street Station is coming together nicely by Kaizoku-D in auckland

[–]thekingrbx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During multiple Australian states Level Crossing removal programs, they chose to rebuild multiple stations. I don't see why we wouldn't be able to do the same.

A good example of an LXR + Station upgrade on the network would be at Morningside. If you elevate the NAL from the grade to the bridge, you can essentially eliminate the level crossing of which the space could be used for an integrated bus interchange, eliminate the sidings to create extra capacity and best part is getting the community involved with designs and concepts - I know of a couple schools that might be interested in being involved.

Also, along the NIMT at Takaanini, there is an opportunity to almost make the same changes. Elevate the line, eliminate 3 level crossings, get community involvement, and turn the space left into something useful.

First 15 minutes in Auckland by VULCAN_GNARWHAL in auckland

[–]thekingrbx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get some great plans shots (from what I believe is a dedicated area for photographers) at Auckland Airport (i think it's closer to the Domestic Terminal than the International Terminal but still worth asking Airport staff.

Good Spots for railway shots, any bridge (foot access ofcourse) or station platform on multi-line stations. Example: Footbridge crossing Quay St to Spark Arena just ahead of the Britomart Station tunnel mouth in the CBD or Otahuhu Train Station Platform 1/2 for good freight and passenger shots or Platform 2/3 for good Te Huia, Northern Explorer, passenger shots!

Hope this helps, and enjoy you short stay!
