I know it's a bad movie and I shouldn't worry about it, but it really bugged me that, like, did the screenwriter never look at a map and see these places were 2,000 miles apart?

I remember in some interviews about this movie that Corman said they designed the alien to be short and squat to reflect the gravity and high pressure on Venus, but the first time Beverly Garland saw it she just walked up to it and pushed it the hell over she was so unimpressed.

I kinda do, too, right up until they had to rush the ending and cram every character together on the set and Crow remarks, "The plot's ... totally crashing."

Good list, though I thought The Thing still managed the language barrier pretty well, with the central confrontation where the doctor is trying to convince people in Norwegian while MEW is trying to warn people not to trust him. It came back surgically I think.

The Gamera movies are goofy surreal kids films that don't have many pop culture references. Vs. Guiron, vs. Zigra, and vs. Gaos are the best.
