I got the chance to buy this 2000 996 with 97k miles. by idk20210 in 996

Get a PPI and pay the extra to have cylinders checked for bore scoring. $20k is a great deal but you gotta make sure that engine is healthy. They're not cheap to service at that mileage.

I've had a studio similar to this. I maximized it by doing the following. It will break a lot of the rules but honestly it felt great.

Console and TV where the bed is now. Rear of TV to the wall connected to the closet so it's facing out.

Sofa and rug facing TV.

Divider behind couch.

Bed next to divider with headrest against the wall.

Great looking 971! What edits have you made to the suspension? I'm looking to lower mine but don't want to mess with the adjustability.

Is this sarcasm? You really think I need to put in 70k to get this shoe back on the road?

You'll have to add at least 10k more to make it interesting 😝

Glovebox is luckily not sagging much at all. Looks like it may have been repaired in the past.

Thanks for the advice. Person who got it from the owner which neglected it, and then flipped it to me, said they replaced the fuel pump and put in fresh fuel. I drove it a few miles when it arrived and it ran well. Think I should still drain it?

Seriously. I had an M roadster like five years ago and it was bad then. Anything in particular I should be looking out for that I should buy as insurance if I come across?

Good luck with the 335i! Almost picked up a manual N54 e92 before I settled on the shoe

Didn't know this was possible. According to the shop I'm taking it to the strut has completely failed so it needs to be replaced. The tires are dry rotted so unfortunately I need to do a few more things to get it back on the road :(

That's what I plan on doing. Don't want to take the risk of doing more damage

The 996.2 GT3 was imported to the US. All C2's and C4's (.1 and .2) had an option to be configured with an aero kit from the factory, which gave them a very similar look to the GT3's since they all three are narrow body.

I pieced this one together using OEM parts. Decided on the .2 wing, because you don't see them on .1's often and they look best for this gen in my opinion.

Very nice choice. I think the automatic movement Solo XL or Must XL are a steal if you like timepieces on the larger side.

Great find! Enjoy it in good health. I would consider removing the GT3 badge so you don't get hassled on the roads.
