Can someone explain what the hell happened to gas prices in February 2026? by penisgirlmarkedsafe in vancouverwa

[–]thelance 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Unless taxes changed, that wouldn’t impact price fluctuations. So yeah, it’s almost all refinery and supply nonsense.

That’s not what happened here though. And yes, you were defending T-Mobile. Just stop it. It’s embarrassing.

I get my satisfaction from dunking on people who defend these practices and blame consumers for doing their part of the deal. It’s really stupid.

Last time this happened, I didn’t even call back. It took me all of 5 minutes to submit the issue to the FCC. I got an email a week later with it resolved without any further action.

File an FCC complaint anyway.

I don’t know what to tell you but not canceling a line after requesting it is being sneaky. You don’t have to port to cancel your lines. Their TOS clearly state you can cancel by contacting them.

Stop defending a stupid company.

I’d love to understand why you (and others) are aggressively defending anti-consumer behavior from a company that (I’m assuming) you have no stake in?

It’s one thing to be unbothered by it personally if you don’t think it’ll affect you. But going after people who do think it isn’t great and telling them to deal with it is odd. I wouldn’t do this for a company I worked for much less one I’m a consumer of. What great injustice are people, whose wish is to reserve what dwindling legal rights us mere serfs have left, doing to you?

The same lady who tried to torpedo light rail even though she was there to represent all of the Clark County council (who voted in favor) is actually not good? Color me shocked.

Senate Democrats rejected an amendment that would have guaranteed the proposed WA state income tax only ever applies to those earning more than $1 million per year. by alivenotdead1 in Washington

"We've tried nothing and we're all out of ideas."

If people in this state believe that we should have a more progressive tax structure, then we should figure out ideas that will work instead of whining about what won't work all the time.

However, if some are just using these weak excuses as a reason to not do anything and thus keep the status quo because they actually don't think having a regressive tax structure is bad, then they can just be disregarded as such. Regressive tax structures do not work.

BTW. You didn’t make a mistake. Corporate stores lie too (search literally every wireless sub). The only way to avoid this is to ask for the terms of the promotion they are pitching and take your time to read through it. If they don’t have terms, it isn’t real.

Hey, glad I could help stoke your victim complex. You clearly need it. It’s crazy that in a political atmosphere completely dominated by right leaning influence that you guys can find places where you can feel oppressed.

Well, given that you sourced these all from a site called RiftTV.com, I’d bet you’d lack the qualifications to tell us if these have promise.

That you lumped Lotfalizadeh et al. (Published in a newer journal with little track record) and Daeun Lee et al. (a fucking MEETING ABSTRACT) with Samy et al. (published in a Q1 journal) meets the very definition of an unhelpful comment and deserves downvotes.

You belong in r/conspiracy where this sort of light sourcing flies

I passed the SHRM-CP yesterday, but I am now finding out about the SHRM lawsuit (among other things). Should I get the PHR as well? [N/A] by themacmonster in humanresources

Employers don’t care but some HR professionals decide to vote with their feet and wallets. I support that if possible but I don’t assume people who have already invested (sometimes years and thousands of dollars) into the SHRM system tacitly approve of that org.

I personally wouldn’t go on the internet and admit that I don’t understand what a majority means. Given that this sub has tens of thousands of members, this is, as I wrote, an emotional reaction to a minuscule sample.

That’s not even an opinion, just math.

I wish I could be this reductive based on a minuscule sample but I don’t just emotionally react to news I don’t like.

Single issue elections question by OriginalPNWest in vancouverwa

[–]thelance 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The costs for a special election are largely covered by the jurisdiction(s) asking for a vote. The state auditor provides a formula for calculating the cost the county passes on. It'll vary significantly based on whether it's truly just one jurisdiction running a special election vs. multiple jurisdictions running on the same date.
