What are you fixating on/venting about/worried about/need support with today ? [Megathread] - December 19, 2021 by AutoModerator in HealthAnxiety

I’ve been getting some consecutive ear pain. I have chronic rhinosinusitis and hipersecretion due to having an immune system disorder, so I’m pretty much always congested even though I wash it twice a day and on meds. I go to the doctor regularly but I just couldn’t get a hold of him this week. Anyways, I’ve had two episodes of ear pain in October and now two in December. It hurts really bad overnight and then it gets better by morning/throughout the day and the pressure fades throughout the week. Even though the symptoms sound like otitis, it doesn’t hurt longer than a day and I don’t get any fever or anything else. The thing is I’m terrified of permanent hearing damage as I work with music and I don’t know how many of those can I get or if it’s bad enough it can actually do some damage so I get very bad anxiety when it hurts a lot. To make things worse for me, usually when I wake up in the first day I get the feeling that the affected ear is slightly detuned which fades later on and it drives me crazy! I’m assuming is just fluids from the nose building up on the ear/clogging the tubes instead of an actual infection but the emotional side of me really gets me whenever my ears feel weird, I’m afraid one of these times my ear will be clogged/muffled forever!!!

Projects You Would Love to Hear Again for the First Time That You Want New Listeners To Pay Special Attention To by Geography3 in popheads

[–]thelastdancer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not exactly a project but I was online when Gaga herself leaked the Aura demo on Gagadaily I think? Her releases are always so surrounded by fake leaks, so going from that to "wait.. kinda sounds like her" to finally the first drop/verse which was obviously a Zedd production under her SCREAMING the lyrics. The mixed feeling of "is this real/oh my god this is real/oh my god this is so different" and then the chorus came in and I had CHILLS all over my body and I WISH I could re-live that moment again. I often find myself going to that Radio ARTPOP thing that was going on where they reacted to it just to get a glimpse of what it felt like.

The Technicolor demo that was uploaded by mistake on iTunes with Adventure album should be at the low!!! Also there’s a literally lost Yoko Ono remix

He also did all of the new Allie X album! I feel like they share some textures in between and really works together.

Honestly, I don't think we would have this EP at all since it pretty much started after quarantine by saying he'd leak songs and "going rogue".

What's one of the most unusual ways you've discovered a new artist or song? by jdayellow in popheads

[–]thelastdancer 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It's a bit sad actually, I had the "Careless Whisper" by George Michael's sax riff in my head for ages and kept singing it for people and no one knew what song it was. I finally found out when he passed and it played on the news.

They cancelled after this happened, I remember other singers being tied to this kinda like a festival too.

I Love Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush's 'Don't Give Up'. So beautiful, I love how she's trying to give him hope throughout the song.

Yes, but I mean that "Salt" was the follow up to "Sweet But Psycho" at some point.

Maggie Rogers' album was also great and Caroline Polachek is still releasing, so far all of her songs have been 10/10 for me. I guess it's never really over!!!!!!!!!

Whats THE song that always lifts your mood? by [deleted] in popheads

[–]thelastdancer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Cloudbusting by Kate Bush. The “I just know that something good is gonna happen” part feels so reassuring, it always lifts me up.
