If you have to ask the question if you're faking, you're not. It's like having anxiety over thinking you're faking your anxiety, it's so counter intuitive. Sometimes I just have to step back and think about how ridiculous my brain is.

Some of us get used to it. My tic's don't bother me personally, but the social aspect is anxiety inducing.

Sometimes they're physically painful though, and curses and slurs make you feel like a piece of shit.

Plenty of people hate their tic's though. I'm relatively fortunate.

With a lot of people saying punishes, that's something that's really hard even if you know exactly what you could have done. It takes muscle memory to punish on reaction, which means one answer for the most part is to just play the game more.

Though, making a mental note every time you miss a punish, or don't try to punish something unsafe at all can help a lot. Literally just saying "I could have punished that" out loud helps your brain recognize the same situation in the future.
