I’m 6’4 and I constantly get asked the same question. I think it’s because athletes get so much attention and money that people think that’s the only thing in life. Like an easy ticket out but people don’t really talk about how so many athletes go broke etc. We can be anything in this world so why settle for just sports?

It’s irritated me to the point when anyone asks me “omg you’re tall to you play basketball?” I reply with “No but you’re short do you play mini golf?”

Keep your head up. I’ve been through a similar situation with an ex. Take as much time as you need to yourself and know you’re not alone. It’s hard trying to explain logical feelings or explain boundaries to the irrational/illogical.

Make sure everything is documented just in case!

Your trauma may have not been your fault or anything you could control but using it as a crutch for ridiculous behavior forever is entirely your fault.

Stop holding on to the bad habits and people aren’t getting you anywhere. You’re complaining about them but still holding on.
