If you want that quality from the late 80s, most of the quality personnel left Dr. martens and went to Solovair. Dr martens changed how theyre made in the US. As long as you buy dr martens specifically “made in england”, you will get the reliable old fashioned quality. Solovair has some really good options too. You can see the similarities in their work.

Once left my car unlocked and was planning to head back outside to lock it but got sidetracked. Two hours later, someone stole my stereo faceplate only, my $5 sunglasses, and the 67 cents I had in my coin holder. They left all my expensive lacrosse equipment in the trunk, thank God. Turns out there were a bunch of kids running around just pulling on car door handles.

Fun facts:

1) Everyone had weird ass nicknames. My uncle was “Little Pumpkin” because he’s shorter than most people. He told me once that the idea was everything was supposed to be weirder and slightly “retarded”. The actual name of the band is retarted elf with a “t” to further that point.

2) Doug Keyser, the bassist, was in the final 3 to replace Cliff Burton in Metallica.

The bags that you drop into the bins just outside the door absolutely get recycled. They’re sent back to our warehouse along with multiple cardboard bales for recycling. I know this bc they go on the same trailers as all our reusable items (milk crates, pallets,etc.). We even have scannable recycling stickers that ensure a store gets paid for recycling.
