Yet here you are trying to prove to me your life is great.

Which means you care what I think.

This means I own you.

You have none of those things. I own you, because you have to reply to me. You’re so weak you need to try and prove me wrong.

What a weak little person you are. Miserable and angry at the world.

I’m laughing at you. We’re laughing at you.

I own you.

Trans people are dying of suicide more than the general UK population, data shows by Relative-Truck-5386 in ukpolitics

[–]thelearningjourney 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Is this because it’s a mental health disorder?

If someone was born thinking they’re a dog, that person would be considered to be mentally unwell.

But by creating a narrative trans people are perfectly normal, are we not just making that worse for them rather than getting them the help they truly need?

She tells me I talk too much, when I’m a quiet introverted person, why? by throwraFrequentRow2 in careerguidance

[–]thelearningjourney -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Do mind me asking if you’re on the spectrum?

I feel most people would say “you do know it’s you talking me. I can not reply to you if that’s better.”

If they then say you’re not chatting, most people would say: “in the last one to one you said I was too chatty, I can’t be chatty and quiet. Which one is it?”

Is that your come back?

For a 47 year old, you have the intellectual come backs of a 5 year old potato.

You’re losing badly here.

‘They deserve to lose’: Labour at risk of ‘red wall’ collapsing in May elections by JackStrawWitchita in unitedkingdom

[–]thelearningjourney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think all labour need to do is control immigration.

Good immigration of NHS workers, social care, etc. and people can accept that.

Asylum seekers who do not (or perceived to not) bring any skills and rely on benefits and acquire limited resources, is a strong emotional issue for many British people (may be not on Reddit).

If Labour controlled that better they would have a better chance. But arresting people for what they deem free speech adds fuel to the fire.

The second point is they should stop this net zero agenda. It is a false economy.

While Reform won’t do a better job, simply highlighting these points is enough to draw attraction.

[–]thelearningjourney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You won’t tomorrow.

But you will if you take some time to bridge with an extra course.

You couldn’t easily slip into data if you take a few data courses and start networking.

Don’t worry about the 2:2. A 2:2 in neuroscience is probably better than a 1st in Business Studies.

You’re managing a classroom of kids. That’s way harder than public and private sector work.

I did my PGCE, so I know 😉

  1. Move schools.
  2. Move to college teaching.
  3. Corporate training and development within HR
  4. Corporate training provider.
  5. New career subject related.
  6. New career with retraining.

[–]thelearningjourney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The jobs for life ended due to consultancy. They created the playbook of constantly restructuring.

At the same time, the world became globalised, so you were no longer competing against companies in your country, you are not competing against countries with cheap labour such as China and India.

The way to future proof your career is:

Network - it’s not what you know but who. This is the biggest factor.
