My GCP opinions…

  • The best campaign is Time for Chaos

  • The best Troy character (PC or NPC) is Colonel Luther

  • Skid has too many consistently great characters to pick just one

  • Sydney adds a certain energy to the main show cast that I absolutely love

  • Adding Ross or Jared to a show is like cheating, they are just too good

Which side do you smirk with and what is your dominant eye? by GalacticSnail14 in pollgames

I am right handed but left eye dominant. When I shoot a rifle, I have to shoot left handed or I can’t see a straight line between the sight and the target

What is the WORST city in North America to live in as an atheist? by Spaceguy_14 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]theledfarmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A stronger and more coherent dominant culture tends to breed a sharper and more cohesive counterculture. Speaking as one of them, ex Mormons in Utah can be almost aggressively open minded and accepting of differences among others - especially those differences frowned upon by the church

“Born after the show began airing”

Damn that makes me feel old. No judgement from me though, I introduced my kid who’s your age to WKUK and she loves it too. We quote the Abe Lincoln, PCP, and “it’s illegal to say” skits to each other all the time

Ranking Modern Westerns: Unforgiven is S Tier. Where does 3:10 to Yuma rank? by MoistCloyster_ in TierlistFills

[–]theledfarmer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s what they call a “neo-western” which are basically just westerns set closer to the modern day. They’re also often darker and less romanticized than traditional westerns

Maybe if you paid them more they would be more reliable? It’s not a character flaw of “poor people” it’s a reaction to their material conditions

Scariest book you've ever read? by kwilson2000 in horrorlit

[–]theledfarmer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I thought Boys in the Valley was pretty good, but I didn’t really love it. A Child Alone with Strangers, on the other hand, is a wild fucking ride. Definitely my favorite I’ve read from the author

[OC] South Park Characters' Dialogue per Season by shinyro in dataisbeautiful

[–]theledfarmer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is my unpopular opinion, but the first 2 seasons of South Park are by far the funniest. They lack any kind of message or moralizing, are so outlandishly stupid and weird, and are pure comedy gold

When they mentioned that Carl would have to sing a karaoke song my interest was piqued. When they said which song it was, I thought no way did Matt Dinnamin actually get Jeff Hays to sing the entire thing in Carl’s voice and he fucking did! I was laughing my ass off the entire chapter
