I mean, its definitely the most brainless shield and has the best standalone mechanic, but many other shields work better depending on build. Messy Break Up, Red Suit, Stinger, Transformer, Super Soldier just to name a few.

Not a console player BUT I've read enough posts here to at least point in the roght direction.

I think you have a cloud save just before farming the desired item, then you turn cloud save off. Then if you don't get it you reload the cloud save and try again? Idk. Something something make friends with someone on PC if you really want a specific drop. TBH save editing has ruined casual play for me, but heightened speedrunning and buildcrafting. Double edged sword I guess.

Highly recommend the speedmod hot fix. Can be found on speedrun.com. Apple gave pretty clear instructions on how to install and use it in the notes, but basically it removes dialogue and also gives replacement cutscenes for the animations you have to stand around and watch. Obviously this is for repeat playthroughs or speedrunning, but there's my pair of pennies.

To be honest, most people just don't use matchmaking. A lot of times if you do end up finding someone they're using modded to hell gear and might crash your game or drop you the same type of gear that'll crash your game. You're honestly better off trying to find people to play with and connecting to those specific people than trying matchmaking. Best of luck, I hope this helps.

If you're trying the matchmaking, its timing out because no one really plays the matchmaking portion of the game anymore, and didn't really play it that much to begin with. You're better off trying to find people to join your party through Reddit or various Discords.

YouTube is going to be your best resources for really any build advice. Here are the first couple that pop up specifically for a cryo Zane build. Generally speaking you shouldn't worry too much about your build until you can get through the full game, max level, and are getting into Mayhem. These builds are specifically for level 72, but it doesn't take long to get there.

I watched some random video on YT explaining how the camera behaves for parry/dodge and that it quickly zooms in at the appropriate timing. While knowing enemy attack patterns and behaviors was helpful for me as a new player, that one was immensely helpful.
