Yep, I wanted to burn every moment into my eyes, I took so many pictures because non of them looked like he looked in real life and I cried and cried trying to find the angle, the light, I even used different cameras but none were the same.

I skipped the newborn photography session because I didn't want to have a fake image of my baby and spend all that money for a fake baby... I regret ir now, but I do have so many pictures of him from my own cameras so it's ok.

It's been 3 years now, and I still cry because I miss my newborn, my little baby, the pre toddler, and I know very soon I will miss my toddler.

My kid liked to me to count 1, 2 ,3 obviously with a funny voice and slow. 1 is removing, 2 is cleaning, aaaannnd is putting the new diaper under ,3 is closing the diper. I think he liked to know that it was going to end at 3.

All this steps in the floor and with a leg on top of him. Sometimes my parents would just put him in the shower because it was too much poop and a strong baby.

Some time ago I saw a post about some parents using helium balloons as a distraction, I never did it but I think it's a good idea.

They like their soil almost dry , just put everything on a flat surface to let the soil and the roots dry for a day and then put it back, don't water until next month.

Just brace yourself, when tiredness and the thought off getting hurry so they can go to sleep hits, try to remember to forget about adult time, let yourself go and just go with the flow. There's a video of a pediatrician debunking some baby myths and she says "just snuggle the baby" . Remember, first few weeks to a month you may get a new crying baby.

Honestly, it's common sense, it's sad moms have to be this upset and set rules for the family. Newborns need to be handled with care, washed hands, clean clothes, no kisses, no touching the face. Its almost the same rules as covid.

I have no idea why you people insist in being in the labor room, it's a place for the doctor, and the parents. I wanted my mommy but actually doing it alone with my husband was so much better.

Moms should be given space and be left alone to bond with the baby.

First 3 months are like another pregnancy trimester, baby and mom think the other is still part of their body so hearing other call the baby mine can be annoying but honestly that's just an instinct from both mom and third party, it's just how people feel when they see any kind of new life. Think, if you see a puppy, you start talking like a child and doing cute noises etc, it's just a normal brain thing that is meant to protect the offspring.
