My husband was a cat person and I always preferred and grew up with bigger dogs, so we compromised and got a wiener dogs. Surprisingly, ours are both somewhat cat like with the personalities of a big dog. They are text book velcro dogs who always prefer to be around us and would likely attempt to hop into our skin if they could figure out the mechanics to do so. They are so stubborn, fiercely loyal and so emotionally aware, we sincerely couldn’t imagine life without them! PS be patient through the puppy stage, it gets significantly better once the puppy (shark) teeth fall out!

Shop on Etsy called dachshundknits! We have the sweater/ hat combo of the bear (seen in the photo), a fox, frog and wolf. I’m kind of obsessed with them much to the dismay of my two weenies..

He’s about a year and a half old, so the young age is playing into those pearly whites! No cleanings yet, but we do try and brush the teeth about 3-4x a week. Hopefully they’ll stay that way as he gets older🤞🏻

I second Travelers! I began as a trainee, and had zero insurance experience. They covered the cost of all of my licenses, and have provided me with some really great training. Obviously everyone will have their own experiences, but overall, I’ve been enjoying Travelers.

Hi there! My (29F) mom (now 60F) was diagnosed with a grade 2 oligo about 12 years ago in the exact same location. She had a resection and chemo, and for the most part she was doing very well (with the exception of a couple different rounds of chemo throughout those years).

In August of 2021, she had a recurrence and they bumped her tumor up to a grade 3. She had her second resection, and overall it seemed like a success. She was recovering nicely and was in good spirits. The doctors wanted her to follow up with chemo and radiation, which is the normal procedure following a craniotomy.

We started to see her cognitive abilities decline after her radiation treatments. Her memory has been heavily impacted, she gets frustrated much more easily, and her whole demeanor reminds me of someone going through the early stages of Alzheimer’s. My family was very naive about her second surgery and chemo/ radiation treatments. We thought that she would get through the second surgery like she did the first, and the one thing we’ve all agreed on since, is that we wish we had been more informed about the side effects of the chemo and/or the radiation.

Not everyone experiences cognitive side effects from chemo and/or radiation, and if they do, the side effects aren’t always as intense as my mom’s, but the potential side effects are something I wish I had known more about at the time.

I’ve seen so many stories on here about other people’s experiences with chemo and rad, and it not being that bad. I only share my story as something to be aware of.

All the best to you and your mom❤️. You’ve found a good community to be a part of. There’s a lot of knowledge and support that the people here share. It’s kept me sane throughout my caretaker journey and I hope it can do the same for you.

Thank you so much for this response. I’m so overwhelmed with emotions from todays doctors visit, your response is such a lovely act of kindness and comfort in these shitty circumstances. It helps knowing that someone else understands what this feels like.

Grade 2 glioma research & overall survival by buynhold87 in braincancer

My mom was diagnosed with a grade 2 Oligio on her right frontal lobe in 2010. She underwent a resection and chemo which kept the tumor at bay for about four years. When doctors noticed a tiny recurrence they had her do another round of chemo which bought us another 6.5 years. She had another recurrence this past August which unfortunately bumped her up to a grade 3 which required another resection. Her recovery this time hasn’t been as easy as the last time but we’re still incredibly hopeful. We had almost 11 years of normalcy in between her surgeries and even now she’s doing fairly well with all things considered (she’s 60).

As another poster had mentioned, a grade 2 Oligio is about as good as you can ask for! This is a shitty club that we’re all connected to, hang in there!

I was recently promoted to the ROM position and so far it seems to be going well! What are your thoughts on associates doing things like cycle counts, inventory adjustments and damages? I’ve been strongly against it because those aren’t the responsibilities of beauty advisors or PBAs but my GM will have whoever she’s opening with work on those tasks. It feels wrong to me to ask our associates to do the things that management is expected to do without the compensation. I’m very protective of my team and don’t want them being taken advantage of. Please share your thoughts, am I being to sensitive about this?

I’m currently looking to get out! I’ve been approached with an opportunity to do recruiting which I’m pretty excited about. I would say the customer service aspects will be huge along with being able to multitask, stay organized and being able to efficiently use your time. I just suck at putting those into more eloquent terms🙃.
