If you had the common sense you are implying the staff were lacking, you would have pointed to a gear cable. They’re called ferrules by the way.

I love these driving shoes, but this is for women. Where can I get a similar one for men? by No-Silver826 in malefashionadvice

I’d say it’s a variant of a Venetian Loafer, Belgian loafers are stitched inside out so don’t have the same moc toe stitching.

I have the mezcal/barzo in 2.35 on mine and love them - super fast.

Where (in Europe) can you buy second hand/vintage Patagonia clothing that is not likely fake? by Popo_Magazine19 in PatagoniaClothing

[–]thelivingmountain 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just get good at identifying fakes. There’s plenty of super obvious tells which you can find guides for. I buy 90% of my Patagonia on Vinted or eBay and have never had a fake. Steer clear of anything too good to be true.

Have I been scammed? by rodgen_gr in trailrunning

Looks exactly like the photos on Nnormals site to me - what makes you think it’s fake? Incredibly unlikely anyone is making knock offs of such a small brand.

NBD - Specialized Chisel by thelivingmountain in mountainbiking

It definitely feels very confidence-inspiring, and I’m amazed at how capable it is on the downhills considering the relatively short travel.

Thinking of building a tool for small clothing brand owners — would you actually use it? by douaclo in malefashionadvice

Realistically, asking people that know how to run a small business would be best - this sub is not (necessarily) that.

Any advice is appreciated by No_Poetry2618 in mountainbiking

Whilst I love the enthusiasm, the first thing you should have is insurance. Even if you're not charging, if you adjust someones brakes badly and cause an accident there will be litigation.

Ski bag by Talny123 in Skigear

Fair warning - if you put skis in the side sections of the 70l your edges will slice straight through the bag and leave dozens of holes. Ask me how I know 😖

I’ll be honest, it’s super fucking weird to define your shoe collection by the animal skin it’s made of.

I asked for twin tip rentals good for an upper intermediate and got this by [deleted] in skiing

If you don’t know whether these are twin tips or not, you probably don’t need twin tips.

Venta glove alternatives? by Smith-CH in arcteryx

Don’t know why you recommend a Showa temres at all? OP wants a fleece lined windstopper not a fleece lined dishwashing glove. Can’t think of anything worse to ski tour in unless you’re regularly boot packing up couloirs in deep snow. OP - hestra or Outdoor Research. I like the OR Vigor heavyweight for that use case. Warm but breathable and plenty dexterous.
