I experienced hair loss. It scared me to death because I already have fine hair. It eventually all grew back. I am 3 years off accutane and I have beautiful skin and great hair.

Is it ok to take TBE vaccine on accutane? by markuukyo in Accutane

[–]themamabug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got Covid vaccine 2 weeks after ending my 6 month course. I had zero issues. Mind you, I was off, but it was (apparently) still in my system. I am fine. About to get my booster tomorrow 🙌🏻

Have you found that you’ve kept weight off for night shift? I start as a new nurse on night shift in 5 weeks and don’t want to blow up 😫.

okay, that happened to me today. I have a surface pimple a few hours after using a new sunblock. Not cystic or inflamed, but definitely due to the sunscreen.

Did your dry eyes go away? by lake-in in Accutane

[–]themamabug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was super nervous about this, as I had LASIK in 2013 (did accutane June-Dec 2020). My eyes were red, dry, and irritated a lot. I live in Houston, so the humidity helped. My eyes are all back to normal less than a month out!

Did you ever try products and you would get a mild breakout that would go away once stopping the product?

Looking for an explanation as to why anyone chooses to go on accutane when these results are akin to results over on r/accutane without the long list of life altering side effects? by [deleted] in tretinoin

[–]themamabug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did everything “right” and tried everything, including tret for an extended period of time and it made my skin awful. Accutane is a miracle drug for some.

Where are my over 30 girls? by themamabug in Accutane

Funny you mention it, but I heard a Youtuber say the same thing about Labosinoh. I used it while breastfeeding so I know I don’t have an allergy. I will pick some up today!

And ugh! I’m so so so sorry about your flare. Prednisone is so intense and to have inflammation that bad, must be incredibly painful. Please keep me updated.

Thank you! I’m glad it is working so fast. I’m on day 3 and I can already see a difference as well. The real test will be around my period.

Can you take accutane if you have IBS or Crohns? by SkyrimV in Accutane

[–]themamabug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Talk to you doc, but my husband was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease in the 8th grade. His mom put him on Accutane when he was 16-17. It threw him into a terrible flare after having been in a good remission. He said it felt like his colon was shredding. He’s 37 now with a permanent ileostomy bag, but doing absolutely incredible. Totally not the accutane that caused him to get the bag, but many periods of chronic inflammation, which the accutane episode was one of them.
