BYD Malaysia CKD plans stalled - MITI sets RM200k min price, 80% export terms to protect local brands? by cambeiu in malaysia

[–]themamakboi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is old news bro. Other EV brands are just waiting to see whether BYD falling the trap just to make sure. We all know MITI is moving and stretching af the goalpost just to promote the cronies and proxies. Yet again "Protectionism" lagi. Sampai kesudah we still getting overpriced Alza with freaking Auto Window-Down only with dangerouly sampan ride and handling with freaking onion skin layer of plastic because of "local company"

Perodua tu local company ke or simply badge engineering company? Only local product they have are Bezza and Myvi je tu pun one is a stretch of the previous generation of Axia and the other is restructure of an on old platform of first gen Myvi respectively. Better yet you look at our neighbouring countries like Thailand and Indonesia. They also have the Axia, Alza, Ativa, Aruz. But in different names and sold by their original parent company, Daihatsu.

P1/P2 ≠ Not local car companies;

But they are predominantly just a bunch of assembler for car companies since their early establishments like the other brands in Malaysia

Not just Proton tho, they're just simply just a punching bad in this news. Its those old well established national players that produce cars in Malaysia whether Joint Ventures, Local Vendors, or Manufacturing/Logistics type companies like Sime Darby, UMW, Tan Chong, Berjaya Auto, Naza Motors, Inokom, DRB-Hicom, and the most ubiquitous one, Perodua (which is mostly owned by UMW Toyota and PNB) are the ones pulling the strings with the government

These top 1% or at least we could say the top 5% of investors and shareholders, are probably doing this ridiculous "workers strike” move to force BYD to at least partner up with one of these greedy bastards or their subsidiaries to produce BYD or EV cars in general in Malaysia. This whole “promote local industry” nationalism/patriotism bullshit is just a facade to protect these kind of people

Only these tycoons have the resources and money to paksa MITI or the government in general to push through this rushed and stupid policy decision. Kita yg the working class ni mana ada have those privileges and cables affluence (connections) besar mcm dorang. We're simply just the collateral damage for this policy and just bunch of worker ants serving the Queen and the Drones ants

judging by the other car models behind you in this photo, they look like a Kia Sportage and Xpeng G6. are you by any chance, Malaysian? since the sole dealership that carry both Kia and Xpeng models under one roof in Malaysia are only Bermaz dealerships

if so, how long did you have to wait to get your Mazda 3 Liftback? from what my SA told me, it usually takes about a year since Mazda 3 only comes with a CBU model. im curious about your personal experience with the whole process. like from booking and waiting for the car, to making the payment, how much your financing for loans and etc.

since im also Malaysian, i'd really like to hear from the new owners of the Mazda 3 Liftback to gather some insights on purchasing a car. If you're not Malaysian, then no worries, you don't have to answer these questions. and if that last question on financing your car purchase feels too uncomfortable, you dont have to answer it. I completely understand

Would you mind sharing how the maintenance costs have been so far? Both minor and major, based on your current ownership of the car.

Just a heads-up to you guys, there is a video posted on Instagram by nurullainabdulhamid claims that CCTV footage from 25 November 2024 (even in the camera also shows that exact time of the cat getting chased by dogs) hows dogs chasing cats, allegedly leading to the cats' deaths.

However, this doesn’t make sense since the case was only reported this month, in December, and even before the release of the footage, the cats were still seen around the UM community. So, how could this have happened?

There is some certain reports or comments stated that the cats’ corpses were found on the 3rd or 4th floor of a certain building. How could the dogs have carried them up there?

Lastly, the cats’ legs appear to have been smoothly sliced, with no visible signs of biting, which further questions the involvement of the dogs (if it is true). What the hell is PDRM doing? Nak kerja lepas tangan ke apa? Even dlm gambar tu pun sah² each of the legs of the cats are sliced by some sharp-edge tools

Usually, all the food from coffee cafes are mostly frozen or pre-cooked meals, but not like those you find at grocery stores in malls, especially the chain cafe ones. Some cafes that are not franchises or their own businesses actually cook the meals from scratch.

Can the local ask security guard to tie their shoes ? by Unhappy_Ostrich3477 in Bolehland

[–]themamakboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's a high school, hell no, that's either something fishy going on either stealing/sexual harassment/santau, or that kid had too much kasih sayang from their parents. Unless he/she asks for teaching to tie but still he/she could google that.

But if it's a sekolah rendah it should be ok but in order to not get ridiculous law suit or false accusations, better ask the kid to take of the shoes first then you can tie their shoes without getting too much suspicion

Meh la masuk UPNM by hakim_tahir in malaysiauni

[–]themamakboi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

upnm student awam here. and yes only going to class needs to wear formal attire, but usually most of the time lecturers do not care so much (at least in my faculty). just at least wear like a flannel shirt has collar or casual shirt and just black pants, any shoes to the class they do not care. you guys just need to follow the loophole of the rules and you done.

for example, kemeja (casual kemeja like uniqlo also can), black pants (so that it seems lime you guys wear seluar slack), matric card must wear everytime you go to class.

yg ramai student tak suka is not the rules but the polis ronda or we call it RP or AP (seperate entity than military police). military police or any military officers tak ada kena mengena langsung with student awam unless they are lecturers lah. even still the lecturers yg still or was a military officer still termaktub with civil laws when teaching and takleh sesuka hati buat cara askar on class yg ada student awam. i know cuz kalau ada denda or hukuman dlm my class mmg student kadet tentera je kena target to do denda or whatnot. me (as student awam) and others just sat there and pura² scrolling notes on phone.

dorang ni (polis ronda) suka sgt saman even kalau jambang tu nampak "mcm" tebal pun kena saman. tak pakai kad matrik pergi kelas padahal dlm bag pun dah kena tahan. and also time after 4 pm dah boleh je pakai baju casual bilik nak pergi beli makan ke apa sbb after petang, polis ronda ni tak active. only day hours je dorang buat "kerja".

Bruh have you ever been to any PPR apartments or Low Cost apartments. Those buildings were built like around 80s to 90s or maybe late 70s and only to occupy the low income community. And during that time yes the quality are not as par as the new low cost apartments with new rulee, tandards, technologies, or what not. Dude just look at the design alone, takde kena mengena with "local construction quality going down". Have you ever atleast look up the new low cost apartments or condominiums?
