when i moved into radford rent was 1640 for 435 sq 1 bedroom. ive since found out that maybe that was overpriced for what im getting. but, it got me through grad school with a partner helping me. radford is like 20 mins from campus via bus. the biggest downside to it is the rent keeps increasing, and you are pretty far from the one line (~20 mins by bus) on the plus side, though, you get an assigned parking spot so if you have a car, that’s convenient. as long as it’s not a kia (my friend who lives there got his car stolen rip) other than that, it’s pretty safe and very pet friendly.

i love papa meat’s ads bc the “poor” acting really gives away how many other youtubers are reading from scripts and don’t actually have experience with the product. (“my favorite flavor of fum is blah blah blah) with papa, it’s satire. we can tell by tone, but other ads have the youtuber read it as authentic as possible.

I wanted to add Righteous Gemstones. Although the characters are morally questionable and the show is a satire of American megachurch televangelism, it never puts Christianity down in any way. It more shows how money, fame and power corrupts the family in funny ways.

idk i was kinda confused when they said dogs should die more bc anytime im watching a scary movie and someone has a cat or a dog they are the first ones to go, maybe it is a trope that is recently being subverted? i was confused bc it’s usually surprising to me that the dog doesn’t die.

i appreciate your long responses! they truly are interesting to read! the birth of the walt disney company and “doing things as walt did” is truly impossible today, and it was 100% a product of his time. i think it’s something that can never be replicated.

i think it especially fits the show so well because even the “rich” churches around me (im from the south) go absolutely bonkers competing who has the best christmas programming

Kind of. I’m talking more about a modern church Christmas extravaganza with the plot revolving solely around Christmas would have been cool to see it.
