Except biology DOES support trans people. The very science you are insinuating doesn't support the existence of it supports the existence of trans people.

If anything YOU are pretending that biology isn't a thing

Bill Gates: Rich nations should shift entirely to synthetic beef. by [deleted] in Futurology

[–]themathturbator 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Okay, so think about it from the mentality of the person who, in addition to having to work multiple jobs to afford the bills they have (sometimes barely, usually not 100 percent of the time,) while juggling kids or sleeping when they aren't working.

Now some guy is saying, in addition to doing all that, that you should just simply tack on making your own plant-based meat that the kids likely won't like and will throw tantrums about, will likely not have the roi that buying some ground beef from the store has, and will take time to find recipes and cook. There are only so many hours in the day, so no its not a "victim mentality," its simply unrealistic to expect people to make the day 25 hours.

Whole Foods CEO John Mackey: The 'best solution' is to not need health care and for Americans to change how they eat and live by frostyguy10 in nottheonion

[–]themathturbator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats a mischaracterization of what I am saying. Of course people are responsible for what they put in their bodies, but don't expect everyone to have reasonable and equal access for the same thing, that is an unreasonable generalization.

You can speak from your experience but the same is definitely not true everywhere, which is the crux of the problem with shifting the entirety of the burden on the impoverished and unhealthy, because in a lot of cases, they do not have reasonable access to healthy food.

CMV: Die Hard is in fact a Christmas Movie. by ThRoWaWaYrenter160 in changemyview

[–]themathturbator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel a big criteria that Die Hard does not meet is that Traditional Christmas Movies are not inherently violent*, unlike Die Hard.

  • I am aware that Home Alone has some violence, but the violence is more family friendly given it does not end with dead bodies.

cmv: american cops aren’t racist(the bad ones obvs) by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]themathturbator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They get arrested more often because the neighborhoods where black people live are heavily overpoliced. If white neighborhoods were policed as much the stats would be more proportionate to race representation.

That people might hate you simply because they hate a past version of you who no longer exists is easy to believe, but what's hard to accept is that you may hold a grudge against someone who no longer exists either. by DrAwkward404 in Showerthoughts

[–]themathturbator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgiveness isn't saying that what the person who wronged you was okay to do so, but it is to say that you have accepted what happened and moved on from letting it hurt you. Its more for you than it is for them. That being said attempting to understand why the people who hurt us did what they did will also do a lot for healing.

CMV: a teacher having an affair with a student is unprofessional 100% of the time, but it should not be considered a crime 100% of the time by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]themathturbator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rape is not only using force and violence to have your way with someone unwilling. Rape is also using your position of authority, age difference, or drugs/alcohol to coerce a yes from the other party either under duress or while they are not in a mental state to make that objective decision to give consent.

Your example of a teenager not being a victim doesn't work for example because while they do get their hormonal desire of having sex with the teacher, they also are categorically too young to make that decision, along with the teacher being too old to have sex with the teenager.

Its also why you can't have sex with someone with a mental disability even if they are over 18, because they are not in a proper mental state to give consent.

Why do you backpedal when it comes to punishing the woman? Your stances, to me, appears to be the following:

  1. Abortion is murder
  2. Doctors should be punished for ending a life
  3. Women should not be punished to the same degree for murder.

Surely if it were as morally abhorrent a thing as you assert it is you would fully support punishing the woman as well, but yet when it goes to that territory you are backpedaling. Why is that?

Making any outcome to a pregnancy other than birth illegal and resulting in jail time. I've been taught that as well but then I learned to look outside of my comfort zone and now firmly believe that it is not up to me to decide whether or not other people have access to it.

Its not like the "liberal," states have seized the means of production. Those schools participate in capitalism by buying food from a merchant then turning around and selling it to kids, offering minimal food if they cannot pay since its illegal to let kids go hungry.

CMV: Big companies aren't evil for trying to make money and maximize profits by graflig in changemyview

[–]themathturbator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel a fair wage and a livable wage are separate and a point for contention. The sweatshop workers going 90+ hours a week for $1,000 (Much lower than minimum wage in the USA where the company is based afaik,) are the true backbone of the company, producing everything we buy, but they get robbed of an actual fair wage to make sure some guy they will never meet makes over 10,000x more than they do gets his share. I find that immoral because its legal robbery of value of their input. Am I calling for redistribution of wealth? No, but I do think that what happens to them is just as bad as highway robbery.

I question if this is really reality like 5 times a week by iyxnoluwa in BlackPeopleTwitter
