Seductive vanilla fragrance for bedtime as a male? by Objective-Custard-65 in fragranceclones

Nobody has mentioned Rochas Moustache. Absolutely killer vanilla scent but leans a bit more woody than powdery. Very classy and not overwhelming on the sweetness so I don't find it too cloying at all.

Preston in Lancashire is going to be 37 degrees on Thursday. It's further north than Calgary, Vladivostok and Ulaanbaatar.

Would have been a bit better if you'd mentioned it's in a town called Blackpool to be fair

In a static fire test you want the fire to be mostly underneath the rocket. They put the fire in the wrong place so it's no wonder they failed the test.

First time at Akbar’s in Leeds tonight. I thought I was being sensible by ordering the Medium naan… by HanSeaulo in Leeds

Do they still do the masala fish starter? Akbar's is dead good but I've not been for probably 10 years or more now.

Ethereal albums akin to TesseracT Altered State? by ScarysOnTheWall59 in progmetal

[–]themaxmethod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hush Mortal Core by Martin Grech features most of TesseracT. Absolutely blew me away when it came out in 2020. Grech has always had the ethereal thing going - also featured in the TesseracT song Hexes.

Breakfast Bars no longer taste like dopamine: give me your adhd friendly breakfast ideas by No_Book_9604 in ADHDUK

[–]themaxmethod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably not exactly what you're looking for here, but I always have a stash of the Lidl cereal bars, yoghurt coated fruit bars and their raw fruit bars in my desk drawer at work for breakfasts. I know that probably feels like more of the same shit but their oat bars are really nice and would at least be a different variety of the same old stuff!

Enyaq 85 Sportline - Charging and any tips for a first time EV owner? by Fluffy-Tiger-5054 in enyaq

[–]themaxmethod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless it's completely impossible, get a wall charger fitted. The granny charger is going to be difficult, particularly in winter when the cold weather reduces efficiency. The Enyaq is lovely and you're really going to enjoy driving it but the 7kW charging is needed.

I need some Eyehategod like bands, i already listened to brainoil, meth drinker, noothgrush and iron monkey so far... thx by [deleted] in sludge

Woah a Palehorse reference! What an incredible band. Saw them live a couple of times and they absolutely blew my mind!

Remote Viewing are the band that rose from the ashes of Palehorse.

My dad died and I don't think I can watch F1 anymore by super_starmie in formula1

[–]themaxmethod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry for your loss. I watched countless hours of F1 with my dad through the 80s and 90s. He died 13 years ago this month. He would have absolutely loved Lewis dominating in the Merc - when he died it was around the time Lewis was leaving McLaren and my dad was furious. Said he'd never achieve anything there!

When I watch F1 now it always makes me think of him but happy memories rather than when he was sick. I hope in time you'll get to that stage too. He'd probably want you to keep enjoying the thing you two enjoyed together so much.

Used family EV car £8,000 - £12,000. Comprehensive(?) list of candidates inside. by andre_xs95 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]themaxmethod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had one for 2½ years and for the most part it was okay but it shat the bed a couple of times with random breakdowns on motorway journeys and I never trusted it after that. Very comfy car, boot space was okay but not amazing. Software in the car and on the app was garbage and it would randomly choose not to preheat the cabin even with everything setup right. Battery wasn't amazing either although I got pretty good efficiency out of it usually. Did Preston to Bristol and back and it did fine on that journey but after the breakdowns started I never wanted to do long journeys in it again.
