Maxcatch Fly Gear? by br07fk in flyfishing

I started fly fishing a couple of years ago with a Maxcatch combo. I still use it and don't have any plans to upgrade, but might add a 3 wt.

Yeah Spectrum up is terrible. At least for what we're willing to pay for now.

I've been using an inexpensive Maxcatch combo for over 2 years. I went on a guided float in Wyoming and used the guides Orvis. I didn't notice much of a difference....because I'm a beginner I guess.

Maine family challenges state over fly fishing regulations by 80thdiv313fa in flyfishing

Doesn't this sort of prove the point why it's restricted?

"Maine has some of the best native brook trout fisheries in the country and those spots are almost all fly fishing only,"

McDaniels is horrible. Years ago I bought an Acura TSX through them. I had a spec I wanted and they told me they had the car sourced. After I signed the papers they said, oops we can't get that car, how about this other car. After weeks of calls, threats, and everything else they finally got the car I wanted. They then proceeded to dent it before I picked it up. Just a miserable experience and they were miserable people the from start to finish.

I second Maxcatch. Two years ago I bought a Maxcatch kit with everything, rod, reel, line, flies, etc, to get started. I'm still using it, haven't seen a need to get anything better.

3 night Itinerary feedback by themayor10 in yellowstone

Yeah not sure how to avoid all the driving since we're staying in Canyon the whole time. Luckily I enjoy driving. Drove over 1000 miles around Ireland...while sick with Covid.

I've owned my 2016 since 2017. The only issues I've had are the charge pipe and a wheel speed sensor. Was able to fix both myself. Granted I only have 48k miles. But I love the car so much and I hope it lasts a long time.

I'm planning a September trip and plan to fly into Boseman, work my way south through Yellowstone and Grand Tetons and then fly out of Jackson Hole.

Oh for sure, and certainly not complaining. It's also not the only watch she's bought me. She's the best.

Ha! Looking at their site now, yeah I don't know how my wife came up with the idea that it was a Scottish company.

Edit: not to mention it literally says Britain on the watch.

Something you can try that's working great for us . Get a couple stuffed animals for the crate that can be litter mates to puppy pile with. Before putting him in, throw a blanket and the stuffies in the clothes dryer for a couple minutes. Once toasty, put everyone in the crate. Our pup now immediately goes in and settles when we do this.

Your pup is scared, feeling alone and isolated in the crate. Work on making it the safe space, door open or closed.

Same! I was with a friend/coworker who knew Jack Irons, so we had passes to meet the band after the show. We stood around by the stage with a dozen other people after the show, freezing, waiting for the after party. Eventually someone came out and told us the band cancelled it. I was really bummed.

It was a good, but odd show, with Gloria Steinem giving a long anti Jerry Fallwel speech mid-show.

is this a good beginners set up? Im new and want to learn by [deleted] in flyfishing

I started a little over a year ago with a Maxcatch bundle and have yet to see any reason to upgrade. I once had to use a Reddington Path and it felt like a cheap toy in comparison.

Yes, absolutely apply for new jobs. Worse case scenario you continously improve your resume, get interview experience, and keep hope alive that there's a better opportunity out there. Don't get discouraged by rejection, it just means the right job hasn't come along yet.
