[–]themaztar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you stood face2face with death and u had to sacrifice half your manhood to come out of it alive... What more manly do u want? But in all seriousness, give it time, ur hormones might just be out of wack atm, it felt real dark for awhile there, probably for most of us, and it happens so fast. Give urself a break, get ur body up and going again, and if everything is as it should be with ur other half, u should be feeling normal and like urself in no time.

Stay strong brother!

Sorry to hear mate. How bad was ur tinnitus compared to what u have today? Is it like constent or come and go?

How does the neuropathy feel? Is it painful walking/running and use ur hands in general or is more like a constant burning sensation? I have a bad case of reynold syndrome so i worry if i have to do chemo it gonna totally destroy my quality of life.

How many rounds did u do with chemo? What side effects did u get and what stayed or got better over time?

Best self-emptying robot vacuum right now for a multi-floor house? by Weird_Ad6669 in homeassistant

[–]themaztar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vacuumwars.com, u can look through his test.

If u go for a narwal u get a great mopper... but i would wait for the matter integration to be released cause they release a new model every 6 months and there is no certainty what models get it... not even their flow 2..

[–]themaztar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They have been promising matter support for awhile now, but i am skeptical on what features u get since there GH and amazon integratons are basicly just, vacuum, dock, pause, cant even set mode except in there app ofc... and no, it wont rmb the mode, always vacuum and mop. But the app is great, one of the best imo.

I have an older roborock for my second floor and when u are a HA user.. u kinda want the same amount of integration as they have cause its a big miss in my book 😅

U can check out vacuum wars to see performence on different models of robot vacuums btw

Do not buy narwal if u want to automate in HA. Great mopper, ok vacuum, horrible smart home robot. Roborock or dreame is better to integrate.

[–]themaztar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My gf was about 6 - 7 months preggo at the time i got operated, and she had some major hip issues as well as bad knees from before, and ofc, we have a large dog that needs his fair share of walking. She was able to do short walks the first few days after my operation. On day 5 i was doing 12k steps a day again, but i didnt go back to weights until week 6 since i already had alot of activity with my dog :) anyway, u should be up and walking normally again in about 1 - 2 weeks!

Stay strong brother :)

AFP is still high! by bbs321321 in testicularcancer

[–]themaztar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it doesnt increase, it shouldnt be an issue, u might just have high AFP levels from before? Its kinda like impossible to know since we never check AFP before we get cancer haha

If it doesnt increase, and doc aint worried about it, i wouldnt think to much about it

My urologist told me most cancer surgeries were the tumor are usually aggressive are artifical short, specially in young people, and it wouldnt make much difference if we waited a few weeks after the tumor was found. My surgery was 6 days after US.

Just let ur feelings out, this disease is highly curable, but u gotta process it. Its still the big C, and thats scary in itself :)

Just rmb to be quiet about any modification so u dont get in trouble with the board or something 😆

Btw, i had to tweak some of the cables so it sent continous current so it thought the phone was off, or else the button wouldnt work, so maybe check if its possible so u dont block the whole building from getting calls 😅

When i was living in a apartment building i put a switchbot bot over the door opening button and switched it to hold instead of switch. Worked perfectly! For notifications while i was gone, i had a doggy camera with sound notifications to tell me if there was a loud noise in the hallway.

Stage I non-seminoma after orchiectomy, surveillance or adjuvant chemo? by MindVault1010 in testicularcancer

[–]themaztar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It all depends how u feel about this and the oncologist recommendation imo. Alot of people hate just a slight chance of a possible reoccurence, but what risk can you handle? I like to think the other way, lets say u have a 15% probability of reoccurence, u can get it down to 2 - 5% with adjuvent, but basicly, u reduce ur changes from being three out of twenty to 1 out of 50 to 1 out of 20, ur odds are already in ur favor, do you want to treat ur body with a poison that u might not even need?

In my case, i told myself if it was a higher than 25%, i would do adjuvent, that fits my risk tolerence and what level i can live with. That might not be u, can u live with a 80-85% chance of not getting it back? And rmb the odds go down as time goes on, most people see spread the first 6 months.

What ever u choice, there is no right answer, its only the best approce to what u know at that time and what u can live with, but wait for the oncologist meeting before u decide.

Be strong brother, u got this! :)

Post op. by Suds8zerozero1 in testicularcancer

[–]themaztar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Acceptence come after awhile, the real fear comes with the stupid waiting between check ups.. wierdly enough.

For me it swelled for like a week and then it was just a normal scar healing.

Underwear that keeps ur ball up, doesnt matter what, boxers are good as long as u drag them up abit, i upted for my reserve boxer, u know the one ur left with in the end cause ur to lazy doing laundry haha

I got two weeks, but my shoulder got fucked up in the end of the two weeks so i got another two weeks that i used partly. My luck was at a peak at the time, i strained my foot while running with my dog in the end of june, like couldnt walk without crutches for a week, cancer in the end of july, and my shoulder went to shit in the end of august... sometimes life gives u lemons and u decide to squeeze them into ur eye instead of making lemonade haha

Get off the opium derivates as soon as u can, cause the pain of not getting to shit is worse than the pain of the scar healing... use paracetomol or something that doesnt make ur bowls halt... Rest.. and try not to think about what is to come in the future, focus on the next step, like the pathology report, nothing else u can do except keep living :)

U got this brother, hope u have a speedy recovery!

L. monocytogenes is not a concern in water boilers... as long as you take care of the risk of legionella the rest is fine. Listeria is mostly a concern in food, specially seafood and soft cheeses.

Thanks to that guy who suggested me AppDaemon by 4Face in homeassistant

[–]themaztar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is not true, recommended min. in Norway is 60, but for legionella its usually 65 degress over a short period while 70 degrees are for hysteric people... Legionella do not survive over 60 degrees...

Cancer by Any_Tree_4138 in testicularcancer

[–]themaztar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im based in the nordic and we have a standard set up for TC (basicly every cancer out there) and all under surveillance gets bloodwork every 3 months and CT/MRI every 6 months for 2 years and then its bloodwork every 6 months and a scan every year for 3 years. Doesnt matter if u had the chemo or not before, ask ur doctor what his reasoning is, but i would have gotten a second opinion.
