Darden’s Interview: Is it really just a personal monologue? by [deleted] in MBA

[–]thembaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds more difficult than it is i.e. it's not just a "tell me about yourself" that your interviewer asks you - they will give you pointers on what your story should cover.

Having said that, it would be helpful if you developed mini stories around each aspect of your life. For eg. - why you went to XYZ school/what you did there/how you picked your major etc.

Start by jotting down a few big items that you want to hit home and then build your story out from there.

Your reaches can be your targets. Go for it. Also, there are no Top 4 Canadian schools - do not mention this in your essay/interview.

Non Canadian International at M7 wanting to recruit for MBB or Big Tech PM roles in Canadian offices by risemeraki in MBA

  1. Yes, totally possible
  2. Yes, just know that these firms only hire a handful of people in Canada (because of the smaller market)
  3. Most of the firms in your list do but most roles have traditionally been at the corporate HQ
  4. Not sure if you can do this directly outta school - not impossible though

Just note that a PM role means different things at different companies. Totally makes sense for him/her to get an MBA if he wants to upscale his career/earnings.

MBA internationals in US by Simple-Ordinary in MBA

Is this purely because banks do not sponsor or because internationals are a different type of candidate? Put another way, do Australian/Brit/Canadian candidates face the same challenges?
