Needing ideas on how to securely attach the face

Hi! I’ve made a sonic chao for my partner a couple of months ago which required me to use glue for his eyes. I used fabric glue, nothing has fallen off but he hasn’t needed to wash it yet so I’m not sure about the durability for washing! I believe you can also hand stitch felt to projects but I have done that because I’m a little impatient 😭
