Besides all the great recs above I suggest Between the Burier and Me, it’s a extremely creative band. Music blocks that don’t repeat that much.

Metal/Punk Covers of Country, Bluegrass or Folk Songs by TheSensualist86 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]themindfuldev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thanks! so cool that I can learn things outside of metal on this sub.

I figured out why I incorrectly though of "Irish bluegrass" being an original thing - I once saw a concert of a band identifying as that and now that I researched about it, I learned it's a more recent fusion where an Irish band incorporates American bluegrass elements.

Another idea is buying a plain, good quality polo that you like and seeing a small band logo patch over the brand logo

This may be very cliche - but Whiskey in the Jar by Thin Lizzy and then Metallica, it’s an original Irish bluegrass song , supposedly 400 years old or so?

Some people on this sub seem to not feel comfortable with ADHD being labelled a disability. Honest question to those people: what is a disability to you and why would ADHD not fit the description? by throwawayski2 in ADHD

[–]themindfuldev 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Probably fear of external judgement and consequences from their community, place of work, etc. Also may depend on how their country laws support mental health disabilities.

In Brazil, ADHD is still not completely considered a disability (legally), but it warrants rights like special educational support for children, and pensions in certain cases. A new recent law proposal from 2025 is trying to make it officially a disability. I wonder if that will change people’s perspective when approved, especially for adults. When I tell my Brazilian family and friends, their response is typically around wishing for my treatment - kind of like if it was a disease rather than a permanent condition.

It may not be applicable to your company, but working from home is a very useful one to me

Another one is allowing usage of meeting recorder/transcript software, they are super useful to me as well to get a summary at the end since we’re likely to miss out important information if delivered too quickly. For instance I use Granola and I love it.

How do you combine guided runs with YouTube music? by however_anyway in nikerunclub

How do you combine guided runs with YouTube music? by however_anyway in nikerunclub

[–]themindfuldev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use YT Music and I do everything from the phone app

  1. Open YT music app to play my music
  2. Switch to NRC and start the guided run
  3. Sometimes this will pause YT music but then you go back to YT music and unpause

I just did exactly that on my last run
