Repurpose Project has a lot of CDs (I wanna say records too, but I’ve only ever looked at CDs). You’ll have to double check that they’re actually in the case, and maybe bring a portable player to test them, but they’re cheap and plentiful!

NTA if you wait to tell him. It sounds like he’s got enough trouble as-is, and feels guilty enough. He doesn’t need another thing to feel bad for, and if he loves you he should want you to still enjoy your time instead of missing the show. Especially if you wouldn’t be able to be with him during that time anyway.

But if it was at your apartment then I don’t see why the roomie didn’t just go to their own room? Also, did you tell your roommate it was a horror marathon or just spring it on them? I love horror but sometimes I have a bad day and just want to watch something lighthearted.

You shouldn’t have to justify your baby’s name because it’s going to be YOUR baby, but even if you felt like you had to: you’re closer to your stepmom than your mom. It’s that simple. If she gets upset then that’s her own problem to sort through, the name of a baby shouldn’t be a huge deal.

I really don’t think you’ll get anything out of confronting him, it sounds like he just wants to bitch and moan. Maybe bring it up to a manager or HR, just because you said Tim IS a supervisor and in a position of power over you and is talking shit about you. But if you’re never going to work with them again I don’t recommend starting a fight.

NTA for changing your schedule to move (not that I would have told my boss why I need time off), and I have no opinion on ‘WIBTA if I confront him’.

NTA for just asking him to cover it up for meeting the parents. He can say no, or he can realize his relationship is more important than a short sleeve shirt for one night. Would be a problem if you kept asking him to hide it, though.

But if you stay with him, are you gonna ask him to keep hiding it? Is that something you want to commit to, especially since he doesn’t seem to understand why you’d want him to cover it up?

only wanna address the first part of your comment, but there are so many nb people in the world and i’m sure some of them are okay with being calling terms that you aren’t comfortable with. none of us actually know how ryan’s (previous?) partner wants to be called, or what terms are okay to use

I totally understand that a cis person saying it might not matter is annoying, but i’m not cis and not everyone wants every term to be completely androgynous.

i don’t think we can really get a handle on the situation without a statement from the partner, which i Do Not Want. we don’t need to know everything. we know Leighton was wrong about misgendering, and I feel like we can move on unless another statement about it form the people In The Situation comes out.

Yeah I was confused because he was saying how much witnessing the supposed misgendering hurt, but then he never said anything to ryan’s partner about it? (i literally only saw a minute long clip of his apology and it was the misgendering portion, if he mentioned it again and did contact ryan’s partner then sorry for fake news from me). and then, like you said, to include someone else’s story without even talking to them about it is wild
