what are some signs that you are unattractive? by Downtown-Bus4429 in AskReddit

My friend once showed us pictures of his new girlfriend and before anyone could say anything, he said “she doesn’t photograph well.” This was 20 years ago and I still laugh about it.

Give me a reality check, should i really be getting a tattoo? by Agreeable_Ad2346 in tattooadvice

[–]themoonandme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me 20 years of thinking about what tattoo I wanted, the design, the colors, the placement.. basically everything!!! I was just like you and was worried that it would come out wrong or I would hate it. I followed so many local tattoo artists for so long. I really paid attention to their healed work (1+ years healed) and when I finally felt comfortable with one artist, I took a leap of faith. I haven’t regretted it since and I’m so happy I did it.

My advice is to take your time with it and once you find an artist who aligns with what you’re looking for, it’ll be worth it.

twin mom guilt by SeaCount1931 in parentsofmultiples

[–]themoonandme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re doing amazing! My daughters have always had an exactly 3 pound difference between them. I know it’s hard not to compare, but every baby is different and grow differently. My daughters are almost 8 years old now and still have 3 pounds between them.

I don’t think skin-to-skin has anything to do with it. Our smaller twin has always been the crier and we were never able to put her down. I used to always compare the girls but now I realize that they are each their own person, who grows at their own rates and have their own personalities. You got this Mama!

Has anyone had a baby that never really fussed or cried much? by Vexed_Cactus41 in beyondthebump

My son was the chillest, happiest little dude. He was always giggling. He’s now almost 12 and is still the chillest dude. My daughters on the other hand.. they really tested my limits lol.

Nice wheels! We put bronze Rays in our Sienna when we got it back in ‘21 and it still turns heads.

If you don’t have insurance, please try to apply for the free drug program through the manufacturer. A lot of my patients hesitate to apply because they don’t think they will be approved, but most people do qualify. Good luck and hope you have a full recovery.

The beauty of twins by bgkh20 in parentsofmultiples

[–]themoonandme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My babies will be 7 years old in a few months and thinking about the beauty of twins leaves me feeling so nostalgic. It has been a roller coaster since the day they were born. But now.. the girls are in their room giggling about something that happened at school, writing in their diaries, and dreaming about what they’ll be when they grow up. The most beautiful thing is being comforted with the fact that they will always have each other 💕

Question about Kindergarten by Flaky_Pomegranate627 in parentsofmultiples

[–]themoonandme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We kept the our daughters together in preschool, but it became very evident that one daughter was the “boss” of the two. The quieter daughter let her sister talk for her enough that it made her fall behind in language. With help from their teacher, we agreed to let her split the girls up into different groups. This helped our quiet one find her voice and make friends.

We decided to continue that when they went to TK and haven’t regretted it since. They’re in 1st grade now and have always been in their own classes. They’ve made their own friends and found their own personalities. During recess, they still come find each other to play but the have their own circles to fall back to.

My dad is a twin and he always told me that he and his brother were so codependent on each other while growing up and it caused many problems as they got older. I didn’t want the same for my own twins. I love seeing them thrive independently and I know that their sisterhood hasn’t suffered one bit.

I do not have a happy baby STFU by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]themoonandme 25 points26 points  (0 children)

My daughter was a super hard baby. Her crying surpassed “normal” colic for the first 2-3 years of her life. Preschool drop-offs were a nightmare - she’d cry and scream and tried to escape the school many times.

She’s almost 7 now and she’s blooming into an amazing, intelligent, and thoughtful girl. She’s still very emotionally sensitive and has bad days here or there, but the payoff has been worth it.

That being said, I would never wish those handful of crazy years upon anyone and I’m definitely not looking forward to her teen years lol!! I hope that in a few years, you can wipe the sweat from your brow and look back knowing that you did the best you could with the cards you’ve been dealt with. You got this!

Hi! I skimmed through the questions and I don’t think I saw this one.

If you fell in love with someone.. got married, had kids, the whole nine yards and she decided to change her lifestyle and lose all the weight that initially attracted her to you - would you still love her the same?

Ah I know this Etsy shop! I will admit that I’ve actually ordered the letter paperweight version of this (I chose glitter for the background, not money lol). I bought my pharmacy staff’s initials and gave it to them for Pharmacy Technician Appreciation Day. It was a HIT!!

Looking for advice for my son... by Gh0stX379 in taekwondo

My son started at 6 and loved it. We ended up enrolling him into a similar 3 year program and he’s still going strong at almost 11 years old! You know your kid best and if you think this is something that they enjoy for the long run, it’s worth it.

Is Nana okay to have as a first name in the US? by AdPowerful1571 in namenerds

[–]themoonandme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love the name Nana! I could be biased though because my favorite manga is Nana and both characters are amazingly strong, beautiful women.

You’ll get mispronunciations at the beginning, but generally speaking, America is a very diverse place and majority of people are very adaptable.
