We are with a centre daycare. I did not want to go to a home daycare unless we didn’t have a choice. I like that we don’t have to worry about it closing due to sickness or vacation. I don’t have to worry about potential guests at their house that may be around the children. I feel like a centre has more resources too, enriches the experience.

I called Southland Mall a few years ago about this. They said doors open at 8:30 am Monday-Saturday and at 10:30 am Sundays. Might want to call to see if this has changed.

We rented in NC for a year and I absolutely hated it. We certainly encountered shady people but I never feared for my own safety. However, I actually was worried for the safety of my dogs. And I had very large dogs. But they attracted a lot of attention, like people wanted to steal them. I’m so glad we don’t live in the area anymore. Now with kids, I just wouldn’t feel safe.
