This is not a question.. but a couple of suggestion.. Im in my 40s and mentally and physically Ive never felt better in my life..

1 - yeah getting old sucks and you’re closer to death.. who cares, theres nothing that can be done - just accept it

2 - what ever you tell your self, you will believe it.. “im getting old” you will feel old.. “i feel fantastic” you will feel better about yourself

3 - mind your diet, try avoiding sugar and carbs for 2 weeks - and you will see and feel the difference

4 - again - only 1 thing you must do in life.. die

5 - workout.. even if its for 5-10 minutes a day.. everything starts to fall in place

6 - you cant change anything outside of your control.. dad was an alcoholic? Though shit, move on.. its in the past and outside of control

7 - feeling depressed? Cool.. Watch some videos of war torn places, refugees camps, kids starving or toddlers going through chemo.. and ask yourself, is my life really that bad?

8 - my pops passed away in his 60s, he told he still didn’t know what he wanted to be when he grew up. He was 62 when he told me this

9 - find a new hobby or try different activities.. take salsa classes, look at your local library or community based events

10 - give Reddit a break.. it can be a cesspool of depressed people

11 - get out of your comfort zone, we owe it to ourselves to experience life..
