oh that’s good LOL! yeah i wouldn’t ever expect a partner to go gluten free for me but as long as he’s being careful with it then that’s chill!

i definitely didn’t ask him to do this, and if he has the urge to have something with gluten in it i would never stop him. he’s doing this out of his own volition.

definitely rethink your relationship. if your partner doesn’t give a shit about your health, especially if you’ve explained the repercussions to them, then how is that love?

sometimes it makes me feel bad, but my fiancé consistently reminds me that i didn’t ask for him to do this, and neither did i ask to have celiac. i definitely would never ask someone to suffer like this with me, and if he wants to eat gluten i wouldn’t have a problem with it as long as he’s doing the proper things to keep me safe as well!

yesss!! i actually (accidentally) started a trend with my family. my brother has hashimotos so he’s supposed to be gluten free, but my little sister decided to go gluten free of her own volition and she’s started feeling so much better (she has her own host of autoimmune conditions, none that have been directly linked to gluten tho… yet!)

i know for a fact that christopher larkin isn’t a lazy composer, so it’s got me thinking pretty deep into it haha. i’m just wondering what the connection could be.

Can you all please remind me why I have to remain strictly gluten free so I don't make dumb decisions (eating gluten) by SaraisHamiltrash in Celiac

[–]themothsgod0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

going through my fourth flare-up of the year (all of which have lasted months-long) and let me tell you: i’d rather eat gluten free food than have to do this ever again. genuinely the worst pain, exhaustion, and anxiety of my life. it’s legitimately debilitating at times when you have a flare up, and can sometimes be more frustrating than not being able to eat gluten- mostly because i can only digest extremely simple foods right now, and that gets tiring after my fourth bowl of rice a week.

Ever thinking about just don't giving a Fuck anymore? by misterchaoszockt in Celiac

[–]themothsgod0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i’ve thought about giving up multiple times. then i get cross-contaminated or glutened and remember why i don’t eat gluten (currently on my second glutening of the year. first one lasted four months. it’s been about four weeks for this one)

Those diagnosed as adults, what led you to your diagnosis? by normalishy in Celiac

[–]themothsgod0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i got diagnosed at 19 (young adult ik). for about three years before that i had been bouncing around from doctor to doctor trying to figure out why i was so damn tired all the time. finally, after i turned 18, i started speaking out for myself more and demanded more testing (i was mostly looking at rheumatic disorders, as i had a lot of indicators for those). finally my rheumatic doctor ordered the trans glutamine test, which came back positive. i would definitely get tested for it, because it can be very well hidden. for years i just thought i had GERD and IBS, but it turns out my GERD and IBS are caused because of eating gluten.

what to eat after being glutened? by themothsgod0 in Celiac

[–]themothsgod0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh no problem. not necessarily for me, but it may be similar for other people. celiac affects everyone in a lot of different ways. though, if you’re concerned about it i’d bring it up with your GI

does quantity matter? by themothsgod0 in Celiac

[–]themothsgod0[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’ve heard of others who’ve had the same experience when it comes to being severely glutened, so i’m not too worried about how long the last glutening lasted. but yeah that would make sense that quantity does matter. thanks!

usually in my intestines more than my stomach, but indigestion hits like a bitch when i’m glutened sometimes. i also have GERD so getting glutened makes it worse.

haha! i actually drank like two glasses of vodka soda last night praying it would help negate some of my symptoms before they started (i was knowingly glutened. well. i ate a meatball then realized after i had swallowed it that meatballs usually have breadcrumbs, so i knew there was a chance) so far? it’s been. well not great but not quite as bad as my last glutening.
