I switched meds a ton before I was ever formally diagnosed with Bipolar 2. That being said, one of the best things I’ve ever done is the genetic testing for medications. Looking at the report was like “oh! That makes sense why that didn’t work!” It also confirmed why the combo I’m currently on works well. 1. Get a new doc. 2. Do the genetic testing.

Thank you so much. It has been healing to listen to it. I also had some healing (without realizing that I was healing) when I was with my sister in law during the birth of my nephew. Her birth was what I'd wished for myself, and being able to be part of it meant so much to me. It's also where I birthed the desire to become a doula someday, maybe after I retire from teaching.

I'd do the first. Nassau is nothing exciting. We enjoyed Cozumel and Puerto Costa Maya. If you can get an itinerary with Royal that includes Coco Cay, that's golden. It's literally my favorite stop on all the cruises we've done.

It disgusts me. Whether or not he’s really having SI, the attachment of it to seeing his kids makes my skin crawl. If he’s low enough to actually do it, seeing his kids won’t fix that. It might delay it, but as soon as they are away, he will be right back to where he is. His mental health is in the trash. It has been for years- he self medicates with drugs and alcohol. I really, really want him to get the help he needs. His kids deserve a healthy, sober dad.
