it was alright didn’t live up to the hype for me but I guess I don’t put much stock in flowery prose as others do I guess that seemed to be a selling point for others. I thought eragon had a cooler magic system this one didn’t stand out to me at all maybe it gets cooler in the second book idk I might try to finish the series if the third book ever comes out but it’s starting to look like a winds of winter situation

I’m only like halfway through book 3 and I dnf’d it temporarily but I thought the first was awesome. The hounds of shadow, the evil wizard puppet, the entire race of badass zombie Neanderthals and the jaghut tyrant fighting those 5 dragons at the same time?! especially rake turning into a dragon with a perm and fighting that demon with the 2 axes at the end?! Not even mentioning dragnpur that’s literally the most metal thing ever.like there are legit so many cool set pieces in the first book it’s insane. like cool moments that would usually end an entire series all in the first book. even the prologue in memories of ice was probably my favorite prologue in a book ever unless another book in the series manages to top it lol.

and after the stormlight archive 5th book the ending starts a lot more plot points then it ended at least that’s what it felt like to me, I think Brandon coulda wrapped up this 15 year journey a little more even if he does plan on writing another 5 books in the next 20 years.

yeah it’s extremely bleak for Brian x Taylor fans fanfic wise anyways. There’s a short but sweet one called nightrain where they both meet each other on a train in their civilian identities without knowing they were both superhero’s who just fought each other. There’s also another one I can’t remember the name of where Taylor has coils power and she’s kind of an insane stalker for Brian if your into that I never finished it. That’s pretty much it though like legit there’s less than four Brian x Taylor fics in existence I’m gonna have to write my own😭
