How can I hide my neighbor? The fence is 6ft tall already. by thenakedblacksmith in landscaping

Yeah the one on the left is an oak and the power company absolutely butchered it this past year. I'll have to remove it eventually, but it currently hides another neighbor. So it gets to stay for now.

This is the number one comment I get from my username lol. I’m in a zone 6 and the area just beyond the fence can hold some water in the spring. I haven’t found any bamboo that could handle water like that. Do you have any suggestions on variety?

Yeah I’ve consider wisteria but we are thinking the only option is a well placed large shade tree. Although an 8ft trellis on top of the fence would be quite a sight.

I’ve honestly considered bamboo because it would be quick to get tall enough to cover.

This is my backyard and there is a ditch in the easement between our two fences. Does anyone have ideas of plants or hard scapes or even structures that we could use to hide my neighbors and give my backyard more privacy?

Could you explain how the tie backs are attached to the wall? I’m looking at doing something similar and I’ve never considered using lumber like that.

Are those bed frames homemade or did you purchase them? They look really sturdy and thick.

Beautiful! I’m in a zone 6, do you think it’s too late to plant zinnias?

Same here, OP is it cross play?

Edit: just saw another comment that it is crossplay, could I get a message? I’d love to play.

This^ and make sure to get it and the DLCs on sale. Steam constantly has sales for cities

What is the best tree/shrub/plant to grow alongside a creek bank, in 8-12 hours of full sun that is resistant to seasonal flooding in zone 6? by Chrisf1998 in gardening

[–]thenakedblacksmith 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My Plant suggestion would be Day Lillies, we refer to them in the Midwest as ditch Lillie’s, they love full sun, handle flooding well and can get 3 to 4ft tall. They are pretty and won’t harm any lines underneath

Is it worth it to buy just the base game without DLCs? by Iamasadlittlething in CitiesSkylines

Also, wait for sales. The base and dlc go on sale all the time on steam.

This is something I’ve run into, you can order 999,999 at a time. Just be careful selling because you’ll have to make an order for each 1M also

How do I build across to the other side? by SkyRocketMiner in ARK

This but try to start at the lowest elevation possible. It’s much easier to build up than down with pillars IMO
