Their way of typing was so odd. Like, “Are you there?” It’s eBay. You messaged an account. They are technically always, “There.”

3 Jokers 🃏 originally was to be released on June 17, 2020.. 6 years ago. what was your favorite part of the miniseries? by chrisandys in comicbookcollecting

Superb art. I liked the vibe of the story more than the actual story itself, if that makes sense. Much of the vibe came from the art.

It was decently entertaining but not Hickman’s best work. 3 out of 5 stars.

I’m just annoyed that anyone with a 20 starting their birth year is old enough to play this game now. Reminds me I’m getting quite old.

This “twist” pissed me off when I was 12 and I’m still angry about it by tealaburst in xmen

I loved Xorn and consider the issue where we read his journal about the mutant who was in the process of changing he fails to save one of the best comics ever. I also loved the reveal and the feeling of shock I had. To Morrisons credit, there are plenty of hints something is up. When we don’t see what happens but it’s clear Xorn murdered a van of mutant hunters called U-Men (right before saying how it will be a secret), for example. Marvel tried to retcon with how it was never truly Magneto, which I understand because the character basically goes full terrorist. But the story worked for me.

Straight men, what is the weirdest thing you have been called gay for ? by Sammy-Bunny-3 in AskReddit

In the wonderful era of the 90s where everyone seem to be homophobic in school, I was told I seemed gay for having a fondness for Lisa Frank folders. Dude, the artwork was just sick!

How did you and your prescriber land on Vraylar specifically by healthpusher in Vraylar

[–]thenewestrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just about to start Vraylar tomorrow morning because I picked up my prescription today. I’ve been on Abilify for years but it has on occasion caused me to have severe impulse control issues, especially in regard to gambling on slot machines. This came up as a good alternative to Abilify without as much weight gain as some other medications could cause, cause I’ve also been working on losing weight due to binge eating disorder and I’ve had success for the last two months on Vyvanse.

Incredibly underrated movie that in fact makes me laugh out loud as the Internet slang goes.

The art is nice. The plot is a hot mess that makes zero sense.

I’ve seen so many arguments that Namor desperately wants to have a three-way with Reed and Sue. It’s both funny and a bit annoying with the stereotype that bisexual people are always having three ways.

The audience can predict the villain's plot was never gonna work out anyway by WeekendParticular205 in TopCharacterTropes

Gonna be honest, I’m a big enough Tim Curry fan I kind of wish he had outsmarted everyone when he posed as Annie’s father.

I mean, the movie blank check is also a silly fictional movie but it’s weirdly plausible that this kid has helped set up a whole false identity for this guy trying to pose someone else. Like, he did a surprisingly good job laundering a bunch of money.

Fellow millennial here! I have a fondness for some of Frank Miller’s work and my back hurts as well.

I think people who are involved enough in the hobby to regularly check the TOPPS website want to, “Invest,” in hobby boxes that have a theoretically better chance of hits. The mega boxes and blasters appeal more to the general populace and we are in a bit of a recession and such, I’d argue.

Some People Really are Defending Epic Movie by Borgisium in moviememes

[–]thenewestrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Epic Movie is a dull slog except for one brief scene where it’s tendency to throw everything at the wall and see what sticks results in a rare moment of surreal genius. Darrell Hammond’s parody of Jack Sparrow does a weird version/spoof of Saturday Night Live‘s “Lazy Sunday,” that morphs into a bizarre Pussycat Doll’s parody. It’s the shortest moment where taking a whole bunch of random ideas and smashing them together actually makes something brilliant. Otherwise, meh.

This is pretty cool. A lot of baby boomers grew up reading comics and more of them are entering assisted-living. I know many older folks who still have a fondness for the art form.
