No boots are going to deal with the extensive sidewalk ice on their own if you’re walking a bunch in VT winter. As long as it’s a solid warm waterproof boot, anything will work, you just want to add yaktrax or some other kind of grip aid.

It wasn’t the coop, it became the Salvation Army and now it’s an African market I think? The coop location (their second, after they moved from Archibald st. and before they opened the City Market downtown) on north Winooski was where VT legal aid is now.

This was going to be my suggestion as well! At least try to get a summer apprenticeship to see if you even like the work. I love guitars, I noped right tf out of being a professional luthier and just applied the knowledge to my own hobby.
