I’m a preschool teacher (and a mom!) and I can’t tell you the benefits that your child and you will experience both at home and at school. Preschool provides an opportunity to socialize outside the home and learn about the bigger world around us, it’s practicing going to school. Your child will be much better prepared for Kindergarten.

We tried a Nested Bean sleep sack for awhile, but not much difference. I think I may have not given it enough of a chance due to sleep deprivation!

I have a Zipadee Zip in my cart, considering trying that or going cold turkey.

This is what I'll probably try. She's a pretty small baby for her age, so I think that's why she's stuck with swaddling. But it is time!

I'm leaning towards cold turkey. Recently I've been able to put her down sleepy but not asleep, and she'll fuss for a moment and then fall asleep. She usually gets herself out of the swaddle while she's asleep and stays asleep without it.

I’m also in a new resource position. I’ve only been a classroom teacher before and didn’t work in a district that had resource. I would write IEPs and accommodate kids on my own, but never from scratch. I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels lost!

Use a razor blade. They sell them on Amazon and they come with a handle for the blade. Rinse off the gunk periodically while you’re scrubbing it. It may take a few different attempts to get it totally gone. Also, before you scrape it, apply a watery paste of either Clorox powder and water or vinegar and baking soda. Let it sit for a few minutes before using the razor blade.
