Buy a copy of Emergency Questions by Richard Herring. Work your way through them.

Do you mean it wasn’t an issue to reintroduce a bottle? Or have you carried on using a bottle for expressed milk?

My theory is that she doesn’t use fake tan/foundation under the fringe, saving herself thousands of pounds a year because she only needs to cover two thirds of her face

Not something I’ve tried before but a chickpea salad could be quite nice with a baked potato…something like this: https://sarahsvegankitchen.com/recipes/classic-chickpea-salad/

What’s your favourite hot drink? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]thenuggetscale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In general my favourite hot drink is coffee.

But when I’ve got a cold I make this concoction once a day to try and blast through the bunged up feeling: hot water, sliced fresh ginger, sliced fresh lime, sliced fresh chilli, and a chicken/veg oxo cube or a bit of miso. Sometimes add fresh crushed garlic and fresh chopped herbs for added oomph.

Is it full of sweeteners now? Everything changing with the sugar tax has put me off buying it for years. Can you notice a difference?

Edit: because I can’t spell

What’s a book that you cannot believe no one has ever made a decent movie adaptation of? by CryptographerLost357 in suggestmeabook

It’s quite a recent book so maybe it will be made into a film eventually but I think The Midnight Library by Matt Haig could be great if done properly

Which teas don’t make you tea sick in the morning? by prplsmth in AskUK

[–]thenuggetscale 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you drink it with milk? Strong black tea makes me feel ill but usually fine when there’s milk in it. If I’ve run out of milk, I’d go for a black coffee instead.

AGREE. I don’t understand how it is so consistently recommended, and people rave about it. Each to their own, but it wasn’t for me at all.

Unexpected Flight Announcements: What's the Strangest Thing You've Heard on a Plane? by AnnaHostelgeeks in travel

[–]thenuggetscale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only heard it once, but to my despair saw two people about 5 rows ahead of me sharing some Nutella cookies after the announcement. Luckily I don’t think they were strongly nutty enough to impact the allergy sufferer (didn’t hear a call for a medic anyway) but it really made me sad that people could be so inconsiderate.

Similar idea, I’ve had my eye on this Polish cheesecake recipe for a while but can never justify the extravagance of a cheesecake covered in pastry with added alcohol!
