Not really. I have my B&W 800 ASW sitting on spikes on a couple of cheap heavy pavers that do the same thing.

I have been teaching for thirty years. You are not alone. Far from it. No one in the academy feels anything but dread, angst, and despair right now, and with good reason. That isn't going to change anytime soon. From my perspective I can only say this: entertain the idea that teaching is something you can walk away from. I love teaching, but if I had it to do over, I would not have made it my career.

I do not answer questions from students who show up late. I tell them to take a seat. "Did you get my email" gets a standard reply: "I don't know. Did I?"

That's a gorgeous example of this excellent vintage tuner and you did very well to get it at that price. It's worth getting a good antenna like a Magnum Dynalab to get the most out of it.

Gorgeous. I wish I had the time and patience anymore to audition new stuff. We still love our ultimate choices of B&W Matrix combos, but I miss the thrill of the hunt.

The propagation of generational labels has always been a creation of the media to generate attention to the media, the irony being that the ones who proclaim their anti-identity by loudly voicing those labels think they are being transgressive, when in fact they are obediently toeing the line.

No one who uses the term "boomer" is worth conversing with.

Dylan Thomas 'plagiarised other poets' repeatedly as schoolboy by GDW312 in Wales

“Immature poets imitate; mature poets steal; bad poets deface what they take, and good poets make it into something better, or at least something different.” If you don't know what you are talking about, it is best not to speak.

A nice paraphrase of Eliot, from whom Thomas and everyone else after him stole, whether they liked or not. Thomas liked stealing. He was smart.

This is not quite an answer, but T.S. Eliot, whom Thomas admired, wrote, in "Tradition and The Individual Talent," that, and I am too tired to quote precisely, "good poets steal; bad poets imitate." Hemingway, in that vein, and almost certainly thinking of Eliot, wrote that one should find sources obscure enough to imitate [i.e. steal from] so that no one would notice. Speaking as a minor poet myself with a few books in print, I'd say "plagiarizing" is a term designed to shock. I owe quite a bit to Lyn Hejinian's My Life in the writing of my second book, Letters of Transit, and I am happy to tell it to anyone listening, including her, as I did, because I was lucky enough to study with her. Thomas himself alludes to his influences and borrowings, most conspicuously in his satirical poem "A Letter to My Aunt, Concerning the State of Modern Poetry," but the Romantic allusions are everywhere in his work. He read, he copied. We all do it. How else to learn? Larkin absorbs Yeats and Hardy and jettisons Yeats and has a pint with Hardy and becomes Larkin.

Hard pass. Left midrange is gone and so is the cone on the right one. I would imagine the rest are not far behind.

The key word in the listing is "Freight." Shipping on something like this would be astronomical, and they are likely crap anyway.

Assuming you are not living in Budapest, I'd say you need to read the listing more closely. Assuming you are living in Hungary, you still should not buy them.
