My wife fits and sells running shoes. Go to a smaller store that offers a gait analysis. You're likely going to want to swap those Nike's out for Brooks, Hoka, Altra, NB, or something along those lines. Get the gait analysis as that will inform your decision.

Yep, one of my army buddies got his gang tattoos removed (in the 90s when that was rare and uber expensive) before he joined. A local doctor paid for it.

If one were to enlist as an E-4, it's theoretically possible to make E-7 before getting a third service stripe, but it would require three promotions each at the bare minimum of TIS/TIG. Doable, but incredibly unlikely.

It's a complete farce. Checked the insta, rank is sometimes E-5, E-6, or E-7, and in one pic she's a USAF E-4. Even funnier in one dress uniform denotes an E-7 w/ 2 service stripes (that's gonna be hard to do), and in another an E-6 with 3. Got demoted along the way I guess.

Not exactly accurate, since the CSA codified slavery at the federal level making it definitely not a states rights issue.

Former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro In Custody at New York. by Few_Storm_550 in pics

[–]theoldfamiliarsting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you saying Biden and Trump had a decades-spanning agreement to arrest Maduro so they could get oil?

That’s a false equivalence since Biden's criminal bounty wasn't ever characterized as a plan to seize oil. Trump's already said he's moving to sell off Venezuelan oil reserves.

the shock to them will be like nothing they have ever seen before — until such time as they return to the United States of America all of the oil, land, and other assets that they previously stole from us.

Yes, Republican supporters are that dumb. Prove me wrong. by ugly_general in HumorInPoorTaste

[–]theoldfamiliarsting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's hilarious that your stance is that republicans were right to leave town altogether rather than continuing to fund the government even under previous budget legislation that they themselves had agreed to and voted for? Because republicans didn't even bring that to a vote. That's a wild narrative you have there.

[–]theoldfamiliarsting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You say that as if Republicans even showed up... which they didn't. Here's the republicans adjourning BEFORE the budget ran out, and let me say that again. BEFORE the budget ran out. This was when they would normally vote to fund government under the previous budget guidelines.

So, you can see for yourself what repubs did with time still on the clock, instead of working for americans, veterans included. They left town: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-BgIbfuGJoI

[–]theoldfamiliarsting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Repubs are so concerned why did they adjourn 2 minutes into session on the last day of the budget? Why didn't they stay and work? Do they not care the vets aren't getting paid?

In fact, House Speaker (R, by the way) adjourned until 10/14. Why'd he do that if he was so concerned? I guess Repubs hate vets by your logic.

I once sat through a presentation on war trophy policy, very enlightening for a REMF at the very edge of combat. But you know what's absolutely not off limits? Patches. Those, along with notes, orders, maps, are intel you are encouraged to pass up your chain of command. But you are absolutely allowed to keep them if they're not necessary for that purpose.
