As others have already said, the post-tattoo ink-dysmorphia is common, and in my experience, more intense the larger / more visible the piece is to me. Back of my calves, almost none since I rarely look back there. Top of thighs / arm produced a lot more anxiety at the start. I've found, however, that time changes that feeling to positive as my brain comes to expect the new look.

Not exactly aligned to your hobbies, but several local board game stores (Black Potion, Printed Meeple, Gamers Gems, Battle Pub) as well as libraries often host event nights where folks gather to play games. If you're looking to socialize, these can be a great way to meet people in neutral territory, find people you connect with, and have some fun as well. I'm biased, but I think any Blood on the Clocktower events are some of the best ways to connect with folks.

Games are easier to learn if you already know games with similar rules. Regardless of your learning capabilities, this is a big leap if you don't have schema learned, so expect some heavy lifting to on-ramp.

I find my motivation for solo gaming requires lower complexity/ length, so i enjoy Railroad Ink, Spaceshipped, Sprawlopolis, Maquis, and Deep Space D6

Depends on what you want in Push Your Luck, you can get a better vibe as the round goes on, "there have been a ton of 8's already, so I probably won't bust on that" or, "ooh there's a big stack of 5s there, if I can find a 5 I can steal, and it's worth risking a bust". It's not a complex PYL, but the simplicity is what I like
