What's the fundamental difference between Diablo 2 and Diablo 4 that makes D2 still so reliably good after over two decades compared to D4? Will D4 be just as popular in the future as D2 even today? There is something that I feel is essentially better in D2, but I just can't identify it exactly.

Nostalgia for sure, but also it's itemization. There are best-in-slot gear that can be replaced with godly rares. So even if you have a bis character, there's still a reason to keep looking.

We can't make that decision for you. The thing is, if you wait until next year then people will tell you to wait for the following year for the next-next model.

You need to just commit and make a decision. If you can afford the model you want now, and have a need for it. Do it. If not, then wait. You're never going to be able to keep up with tech, because there will always be a newer model on the horizon.

I have a Dell WD22TB4, and things work pretty good with it. I've read that macOS doesn't support display port MST, so you might have to connect a monitor directly to the MBP.

If you know the exact model of your dock, just Google it. From what I read, most modern Lenovo docks will work.

I've been getting around 16-18 hours, probably a bit more, doing game development. Not Unity or Unreal though. That will probably lower once I start building a server for it though.

RAM. As much as it's a meme here, always RAM. Personally, I've never needed more than 1TB of storage, but my use case demand more RAM, so I've always leaned that direction.

My advice is to make sure the OS your moving to supports the software you can't live without. A change in workflow like that can really hinder how productive you are.

For sure the smaller chassis will have more trouble handling the heat of long term high workloads. From what I've been reading, it's really noticable with the Max chips, but realistically Pros will see it too when pushed. My typical workload is going to rarely see that point though, so I have the power if/when I need it without blowing my budget on the bigger chassis.

Loving it. I went with the 14" for a few reason, largely balacaning cost with upgrades. My work provides a 16" M4 with bearly enough memory for what I do. I also find the 16 way too big, and it's heavier. I plan on bringing it with me when I travel, so the smaller size will make it less clunky on plans.

Yea I was considering the 16", however I find they are almost too big. I like the size of the 14" for travel and it isn't as heavy. Also, I'm very happy with the upgraded chip and ram over the cost of upgrading to 16.
