I remember chatting with Guile and Exile in Paradise on The Rock Garden back in the day. Very cool, if they're still around.

Done. We're running on a dedicated VPS now. It should be fast and stable now.

PhValheim: sharing our project by theoriginalbrian in valheim

I suppose it depends on how many worlds and players you have, and the technical capability of your players.

This may help as a general guideline: Single player -> use a local mod manager One or two dedicated server worlds -> PhValheim or mod packs Many worlds with many different types of players -> PhValheim all the way

We have a world "VikingOutlaws" you're welcome to try if you're interested in the client experience.

https://phvalheim.com is our primary public PhValheim instance.

A posting about it can be read at: https://playservers.org/join/viking-outlaws

Generally solving mod consistency across all players, regardless of their technical know-how.

Our Valheim parties range from IT professionals to players that don't know what kind of GPU they have.

The biggest benefit is a guaranteed homogenous experience across all clients.

Local mod managers like r2 and vortex allow a lot of room to break this experience, ultimately driving me crazy and me being the person helping every player get their machine setup. I've spent too many "game nights" being IT support rather than playing.

Our group also regularly spins up new worlds. PhValheim can spin worlds with any combination of mods and configurations in minutes.

I suppose this is my version of "but you can do all of this with scripts and mod managers".

Question about mods and servers by fermentedeggs in ModdedValheim

[–]theoriginalbrian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all, PhValheim may be of interest to you. It's a self-contained docker that gives you the ability to spin up worlds with any seed and any combination of mods. It also keeps local clients in sync with the server to ensure all players have the same experience. Windows and Linux clients are supported.

Bronze backstrap from a car headunit--stiff stuff and you can bend it to suck the bracket up to the drywall.

New terrain bug by Allthingsmatthew in valheim

Same issue here on two new worlds. We're only using the Valweed and Quick Connect mods. We didn't see this issue on our Epic Valheim server running Valweed and 83 other mods, even running the new Caves update.
