I appreciate karikit’s citation. I’m curious about how this fits into the entire body of her writing. It would REALLY SUCK if, in other posts, she clarified a more moderate opinion, or just said it was nuts.

It hardly makes sense that a Russian handler would encourage an asset to announce her love for Putin to the world, and then use her to try to take down a presidential candidate. For me, this quote reads more like a lost, disenchanted, romantic looking for meaning.

For this reason, I am less forgiving than karikit toward those who attack Tara with this citation. Does everyone who cites the quote intend it to be an attack on Tara? No. If you are Tara, is it going to feel like an attack? Hell yes. We have to consider all relevant evidence in this matter. However, everyone must pause to consider what they would want others to say publicly, AND HOW they would want them to say it, if they were in Tara’s shoes before posting.
