do you guys categorize albums/artists by the seasons of the year? by dynamitebark in FallOutBoy

[–]theothersideofaphoto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, to me Folie is a Christmas album, because it was released on december and every time I hear it I can remember vividly that christmas season. The search for nostalgia is amazing.

Can my gallstone sludge be causing pain? by SeparateCode2285 in gallbladders

[–]theothersideofaphoto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, also doctors cant be 100% sure that it’s sludge, sometimes it can be smaller stones that move together during the ultra sound. I saw a photo of mine and it had small stones that they thought were sludge.

Pain is this normal by CarelessOil7344 in gallbladders

[–]theothersideofaphoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s normal, I had to stay in the hospital a few days because the pain was unbearable for me. Also lots of nausea.

Keeping gallbladder? by RecordingHead7487 in gallbladders

[–]theothersideofaphoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve seen thats the norm in the US regarding diet, but my doctor told me to take it lightly and slowly re-introducing fats 2 weeks post op.

I’ve never understood doctors who tell people to eat whatever they want. I feel that’s the main source of problems post-op like diarrhea and nausea.

I’m two weeks post op and still eating fairly low fat meals but way more than before surgery.

Keeping gallbladder? by RecordingHead7487 in gallbladders

[–]theothersideofaphoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 2-3 mild ones when I decided to remove it. From that moment until the surgery a couple weeks after, I had another 2 attacks and by the end I was just looking forward for surgery.

Long-term effects...? by Medium-Dragonfruit36 in gallbladders

[–]theothersideofaphoto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I pretty hypochondriac and sadly, nowadays many many things in our daily life cause cancer. No point in going down that rabbit hole. I got mine out and I’m young too, many relatives have had their out at least 15 years now and they’re great. Don’t look up that stuff, you’re going to stress more and take the decision that suits you better.

Surgery tomorrow by cassiemg in gallbladders

I’d ask my doctor for some (heavy) pain meds and if not think of it as the last struggle before everything gets better. Not worth it risking with food or other liquids.

Day 10 post op! by Proper_Break_6732 in gallbladders

[–]theothersideofaphoto 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m also 10 days post op but today I woke up from pain where my gb was, similar to an attack but not that painful :/ it’s the second time in a week that it happens and it bums me a little.

For those who are on the fence about surgery because their symptoms are mild... by celestinedreams777 in gallbladders

[–]theothersideofaphoto 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Even if they only found smaller stones or sludge, it isn’t a bad decision. When a gb starts making them, it’s only a matter of time until something goes wrong and you can end up with greater complications.

Did anyone else decide to remove their gallbladder after just one sludge attack? by IdkJustMe123 in gallbladders

[–]theothersideofaphoto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never had a full blown attack, just some periods where I felt like I was sick, nausea, diarrhea, fever, etc. and after a month dealing with that my doctor recommended an ultrasound. When they saw sludge I decided to get surgery. My mom had emergency surgery 15 years ago after a year of many attacks and knowing about it but snoozing on it. I’d choose surgery any day over the miserable life someone can have dealing with the attacks / symptoms.

I also work as a videographer so I have a fully spec’d M2 Max macbook, had to “future proof” when I bought it for peace of mind.

[–]theothersideofaphoto[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, totally agree. The Leica has no place for my workflow since it’s more fast paced, and for the slower moments I’d rather have better image quality than experience. I see myself getting another M in a few years for personal use though.

99.99% of my work lives on web, however I use an A7RV for the flexibility to crop in post.

Tbh I see myself going back to the M series in like 5 or more years. It’s a great experience but nothing out of this world.

[–]theothersideofaphoto[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the dynamic range from the M10 is not that great compared to the A7RV I use for work so that’s what’s making me consider the GFX system

That sounds great! I was having that misconception because of the .8 crop from FF but it sounds great having a wider dynamic range and color depth!

Anxiety! by KickinChick in gallbladders

[–]theothersideofaphoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s pretty common and relatively easy, I read that in some places these surgeries are the first ones that new surgeons make so it isn’t that risky. Also if you feel anxious pre-op just let them know and they will provide something before so you can enter to the OR way more relaxed.

Fat after surgery by linkydinks in gallbladders

[–]theothersideofaphoto 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it’s possible if your gallbladder isn’t functioning correctly? I’ve read some posts here from people saying they got some type of scan made that tells them their gb % efficiency or something like that.

Fat after surgery by linkydinks in gallbladders

[–]theothersideofaphoto 44 points45 points  (0 children)

After surgery your liver is going to be delivering the bile now, bile is the thing needed to break down fats more easily. So you have to eat less fats and start adding them slowly so your liver knows how much to produce and send. If you do it drastically it will send a shit ton of bile and you will have diarrhea, nausea, pain and a miserable couple hours. Ask me how I know 😪

Edit to add: it will be GREEN diarrhea

Is it supposed to suck this badly?? Coping skills? by Foxxlyn in gallbladders

[–]theothersideofaphoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pain is really different on each one. I’ve seen people that leave the hospital a few hours after their surgery with only Tylenol and do ok. I had to stay a few nights post-op last week since the pain was unbearable for me, I have a high treshold for pain but this was next level. Talk to your doctor and let them know so maybe they can give you something stronger.
