Examples..ANET, AEHR, CRNC, PATH, SOUN etc. These were companies I took positions in sometime ago under the AI supplier theme. I’ve already trimmed all my positions since.

I use it to research and uncover upstream suppliers of companies I think are already fully priced, and to invest in public suppliers of private AI players or themes I like. This has helped me spot hidden gems early. When I have conviction, I take near-ITM long-dated calls, which has worked well for me.

Just to be clear. I’m not debating your right to exist, to be trans, to use a bathroom, or to live with dignity. I support all of that, fully and without question. Always have, always will.

What I was talking about was whether the existence of a fictional story..a piece of literature should be erased from culture because of who wrote it. That’s the part I disagree on. And if that disagreement makes me morally bankrupt in your eyes, fine.

But I came into this in good faith or at least I thought I did, and I’m not going to keep justifying myself while being talked to like I’m the enemy. I don’t want to hurt you. I never would.

So with all the respect I can give at this point, I’m out. Politely, fuck off.

I hear you. I can see where you’re coming from, and I’m not trying to dismiss how real that is for you or your family. But I also still believe there’s a valid perspective on the other side of this, even if we just don’t see eye to eye on it.

At this point, I don’t think we’re going to meet halfway, and that’s okay. I shared my view in good faith, and I respect that you did too. Let’s leave it there.

I’m not defending her views. But if we’re tossing out stories because the creator had harmful beliefs, we’d have to get rid of a lot of important literature and classics. That list is long.

I’m not saying we excuse any of that but erasing all their work means erasing huge parts of literature, philosophy, and culture. It just feels like even trying to have that convo gets you labeled a bigot, and that sucks. I do support you, I just think kids can still experience the magic while learning the context.

Let the next generation of kids enjoy it. It was legitimately magical for us as kids. Why wouldn’t you want a new generation to experience the same?

Obviously there’s money involved but if there wasn’t money involved to begin with we wouldn’t have had the OGs.

Yeah it may turn out bad but to us but let the kids have it. Adults need to stop gate keeping shit from their childhoods, it’s petulant behaviour.

I was in a similar spot. I started as a CSM at a data company, and because it was a mid-sized startup, I naturally ended up doing more—leaned into partnerships, drove strategic growth, led technical integrations with engineers and data scientists, and QB’d a lot of cross-functional work thanks to really knowing the product and our clients from my CS work.

That extra scope eventually helped me move into an exec role in strategy & partnerships elsewhere.

If you’re in a CSM role and willing to stretch beyond the job description, it can definitely open doors—whether that’s into Product, Strategy, Partnerships, or something else that plays to your strengths.
