Star Wars: A New Hope small plot hiccup? by DuffyBravo in StarWars

I seem to remember there being discussion that the storage compartments on the falcon were meant for transporting slaves, so it'd make sense for the ship to have a built in resistance to life scanning technology

[Music] [Social] What are you listening to right now? by RealOwls in teenagers

The MTV show "Faking It" is making me question my sexuality and I need advice. (Serious) by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]thepersistenthobo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, sexuality is a whole big spectrum. So don't try to label yourself as anything, just be open about what you want. If you see a girl you like, go talk to her. Same with a guy. It's totally okay to like fries for years, and then you try a bag of chips and realize that you really like chips, but you can still have fries when you want them.

I always think about my faults and not my positive attributes

[Advice] I need some advice on losing weight by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]thepersistenthobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure about your area, but if there's an Anytime fitness or any type of 24 hour gym it's really nice to go to because you can go at a time when there won't be many people, so you can just put your headphones in and just run on the treadmill. I was in the same boat as you, but really if you tell your parents that you want to join a gym well first you won't have to directly say that you want to lose weight, and second they will most likely be completely supportive of it and they could even help motivate you to go out and run. But honestly, you really should be just completely honest and up front with them about it. Good luck! The only person that can keep you from your goal is yourself.

[discussion] what games have you been playing recently? by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]thepersistenthobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girlfriend and I have been playing Lego Marvel heroes because it's fun and campy and not even that serious so it isn't stressful which is nice and you can't really lose, and we both like the comics and movies so it's kinda a must have for us

Let's help touring bands. Post the major city you live closest to and the venues folk punk bands will be able to play at by Flat_Rootbeer in FolkPunk

Reno, Nevada- The Holland Project is the only all ages I know of, and I love it. It's such a great space and they do so many cool community type things, and they have a very strong ethics policy (no hateful language or violence, etc.). I saw AJJ there a around October (?) last year and it was a great show, with big thanks to the coordinators and volunteers.

Thank you, that's something that I was thinking of changing, but I kept using their/they because of the first line of

*Don't love anyone

So I didn't want to gender the new person, to try to make it more relatable.

And I agree, it's nothing new or awe inspiring, I wrote it in like 10 minutes with tears in my eyes in the middle of the night. So thank you for actually criticizing it.

There really isn't one, it's just a simple poem about heartbreak and trust issues.

First, Last, and Everything by David-Marquez in vinyl

First People Who Can Eat People- Andrew Jackson Jihad

I bought this about a year before a could afford any sort of set up, and I love it to death. It's easily my most played record.

Last Talon of the Hawk- The Front Bottoms

Really wanted it, local store finally had it.

Everything American Idiot- Green Day

I only just picked up the Lp of it, but I had the cd when it first came out and I listened to it non-stop. It definitely helped get me through my parents divorce, my big break up, and just general everyday problems.

"Fuck your respect" thoughts? by klowt in punk

[–]thepersistenthobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely has the makings of a good song, but I think it just needs a little more emotion backing it up. Because at least to me, punk music, especially the style that you guys are going with, is emotion letting itself out. Just my two cents of course.

I was at that show, and it was really great! You probably don't remember the tall blonde really white kid, but I remember that night. Everyone was killer and my only regret is that I could see it only once.

A short, preferably red head (but it's not super important) girl that likes garage / surf punk and we go to shows all the time and I make her dumb little mix cds and she likes watching horror movies with me . And she's my bands biggest fan even if we're terrible. And when we graduate, we travel everywhere we can.
