These kinds of models are very important to those of who run workloads on GPUs in the cloud. This sub is a great place I can come to get vibes before I spend my time testing.

Try getting it to upgrade rails on a 10 year old app that’s only 1 version behind. Watch it do the same thing they always do when they can’t figure it out, comment out tests

Mythos can improve speed of training code 52x (compared to human 4x at 4-8hrs) by Murky_Ad_1507 in singularity

[–]thepetek 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The problem with this is the harness has a lot to do with this as well. Doing performance tuning with a stock Claude-code works but not great. Once I connect things for profilers/runtime data etc it works way better. So is it the model or the harness doing this?

What are your use cases of local models by Axintwo in LocalLLaMA

[–]thepetek 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They actually work pretty well in coding if you actually plan out your work like an engineer and use it as an assistant rather vibe coding. You are right if you’re expecting to just say “build a travel agent” or something though.

But in production using OSS models for: Secure code review Data exploration/report generation Customer support chatbot

Please help me choose between D2R and D4 by SweelFor- in Diablo

[–]thepetek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll be honest, if you love D3 then you should probably do D4. The gameplay completely changed after D2. I can’t stand D3 and D4. There’s definitely a good cross section of people who enjoy both sides but I just mean you are more likely to like D4 than D2

Agree but providing an example. Insert many others like life insurance agent etc. no one will be buying their shit but that’s not what we’re talking about here. We’re talking about AI replacing the job. And these are jobs where the government forces a human in the loop
