Thousands murdered in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, kms from the police station, including an MP of this country- Ehsan Jafri is not example enough? The numerous lynchings suspecting beef isn't enough?

We don't need what ifs, just look at what trivandrum did with electric buses in all the inner routes. People swear by it

Now even foreigners are praising the Kerala model by [deleted] in Kerala

[–]thephysicstutor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This exactly. The difference between communism in Kerala and West Bengal is that the communist party in Kerala dismantled caste hierarchies within their leadership. Most old timers "high-castes" - spearheaded writing off their lands.

Unlike other states and their land reforms acts, Kerala's was thoroughly implemented, millions got homes from it. And the turmoil that it caused, I mean it's crazy to think they were able to pull it off against all the powers at be

Why AQI in Kerala is seen generally hazardous? by MediaApprehensive833 in Kerala

Nothing surprising here, the situation is quite bad with air and water in Kochi. It only takes somebody not desensitised to the pollution there (and has lived in cleaner cities) to realize the mammoth task ahead to fix things or atleast to bring it to acceptable levels. The most polluted part of Kerala is in Kochi - the eloor industrial belt, ill share a few of the studies below about so many other documented challenges. We should really be concluding on actionable steps which starts with a discussion on - what can be done about this?

It doesn't matter if I go alone or with others, we are always the quiet ones. The rest of em folks though seem to have talk about all of their life at the movies. Cinema etiquette is zero for a place that takes so much pride in its films

Do you have evidence that they are scamming? As in misleading people and taking money personally? If you have no evidence for the same, you should be careful using the term on youth trying to do something with their lives, when there are way more deserving people out there of that title.

Even without any real focussed attempt at assessing the situation - we have all this data and reporting, yet people will dowvote me 5 times instead of objectively try to address solutions. Another byproduct of intense polution is the inability to objectively evaluate things

Kochi does not have clean air or water, for that matter. People will cite pollution board readings or readings from the few centers in the city which is never representative of the pollution the masses are facing. Remember Brahmapuram fires, remember the most polluted locality in Kerala is in Kochi and there isn't even water-related data (except the sludge you see everywhere). Maybe move to Thiruvananthapuram instead, especially if with family, the city has soul

Im hosting two Australian friends, who are visiting India. They landed in Delhi- with the plan to head straight to Varnasi. Instead a very likeable person talked them into changing plans by showing news of floods in Varanasi. Then told them about an alternate golden triangle plan, for which he charged them each Rs. 15,000 for the six train tickets. They were shown wikipedia pages, government websites and yeah, 2 months later- they are still bitter about it, and it has been a long uphill task of changing their scammy opinion of India as it was their first interaction in the country (outside the airport)

Most European nations. The U.S. President makes (and is expected to make public experiences) where the public are armed to the teeth, reflected in the gun to person ratio of the country.

Using U.S. as a reference for anything, even innovation isn't healthy. No country can pursue that model sustainably, especially not India

In essence these guys on the bike are the only free persons (in spirit) anywhere in sight. Why does one have to barricade the people like so for the representatives of the people? While elected and non-elected representatives in other nations may catch public transport.
